Hey everyone. I bought a ACDelco battery about 4 1/2 years ago and I understand they have a 7 year warranty and I actually bought the one with the 7 year warranty. But recently, the battery has been having symptoms that its going out and I was thinking about the warranty. I checked their website and they said their batteries have a "limited" warranty but does not give any details about it. They also said my battery have a 24 month free replacement. So what do they mean by a "limited" warranty? Does this mean my battery is not covered? Thanks for the valuable advice.

This one is actually simple--
For the first 24 month they give you a brand new battery-period. After that it is "prorated."
What is prorating you ask. This is where you take the number of months on the guarantee and divide the purchase price buy that number. For example: I buy a 84 month battery (you did) and I paid $100 for it. The value per month is $1.19. Since the battery has been used for 30 months you will pay the difference between $100 and $64.29, which is $35.71.
