What do you do at stoplights?
I was in my car yesterday and I noticed a couple of bikers at the stoplight. Anyways, I thought to myself: "what do bikers do when they're waiting forever at the stoplights?"
What do you guys do? I gotta get some ideas so I won't be bored when I finally take my bike out into the public streets.

Most of the time I just sit there and do a burn out
Seriously though I set there and keep an eye on my mirrors, friend of mine dad got plowed over while he was on his Harley sitting at a redlight last week.

It's easy, just don't hit the brakes. Surviving is the hard part.

Yeah, I look in the mirrors and squeeze my brake a couple times when anything comes up behind me. Then I look around for the boys in blue in case I wanna do a wheelie or jack rabbit start.

You usually can see teh cut out of the sensor in the road. If it wont change I put the kickstand down on the top left corner of the cutout and rev the bike. If its at night and it skips me ill run it. If its daytime usually a car will come.

Probably when you take off on one wheel. Not a true wheelie, just a launch wheelie.

This is what I do, I flash my brake light no matter how fast or slow they are coming up behind me though.
I do stop at red lights........but if I have to wait more than one cycle........I make a quick check for cops then run it....yes I know it's still illegal........but I can only roast at a stoplight for so long.

I guess its a bad habit, but I always put my bike in neutral. MSF teaches you to always be in gear, but my hands get tired after a long ride .

Sometimes I pretned like I'm galloping down the road on a real horse.
You can dance, too.... the moon wak looks really funny in race boots.
You could get out a pad of paper and start writing a novel.
If I'm tired I'll put my head down on the gas tank. Other times I'll look for pretty girls, and then start flirting shamelessly.
Oh, I'll have to try this one: do a Chinese Firedrill!

my msf class always told me to put into neutral because u might forget ur in gear, and let off clutch and stall... I guess its good to leave in gear if some ******* is flying up behind u at a red-light then u can get out of the way...

I always just stare in my mirrors waiting to move out the way of someone who doesn't see me. I usually just tap my right foot on the brake lever while I'm sitting there too.

Re: (Gotcha)
Stare in the mirrors and keep the bike in first until there is a stopped car behind me. Then I let down my guard a bit and possibly put it in neutra to give my hand a rest. As soon as the other light goes yellow though, I'm back in first and ready to go.
