Default Tucking...

Okay I seen and passed up a guy on his bike today who was tucking like if he had been going 200mph. I mean seriously he was going about 60mph laying on the gas tank and literally looking the the windscreen. He was on a red R6 looked funny as hell I passed him up looked at him shook my head kinda confused and smiling all at the same time, lol.

I basically have to tuck on my Monster whenever I'm going over 60mph...and I tuck when it's cold outside.

Not sure what his reasoning is, but when we go long distances, we tuck. I knew there would be people like you who think, 'WTF squid..?!', while we're doing it, but I don't give a **** and do it anyways because I see the savings at the gas pump due to less wind resistance. Yes right now every cent counts...

Assuming that tucking is for 200mph runs only. I agree it looks unnecessary at low speeds, but there are reasons for it other than top speed.

Tucking can save you a little more on gas. So there is a reason why some people would tuck.

I know that but lets be honest it's not all that necessary.

Lets be honest, really, I rode 1,200 miles in 36 hours last weekend and it was really nice to tuck in under the bubble after my nine hundredth highway mile.

You don't have to be so critical... style isn't everything to everyone, you know.

Are you sure it wasn't 3600 miles in 12 hours?

So what?

As long as they don't weave, wobble, bust wheelies, stand on the tank, etc., I'm don't care.

Why do you really care? Its not like he was doing anything dangerous or stupid. He could of been tired, cold, and/or bored. Or maybe testing out some new windscreen he got.

I agree with Shortbus. When you said " He was on a red R6 looked funny as hell I passed him up looked at him shook my head kinda confused and smiling all at the same time, lol." you became "people like me."

It's actually pretty coomfy for me to just lay on my gas tank. I was doing it the other day on the highway when I had incredibly strong head winds and there weren't many other cars around that would require me to make any sudden lane changes or stops.

Best reply. Like who cares. I stand up on the bike sometimes to stretch my legs. Sometimes I stand up to pull wedgies out of my *** from a long ride. Sometimes I fart while I ride. Sometimes I dig my nose at stoplights, scratch my ***, or check my phone to see if I have any missed call before it turns green.

Dude - I fart all the time, especially if there's a convertable behind me. I know they can smell it too.
