trail 90 rebuild
So I got this mid 70's ish Honda trail 90 from my grandpa... this is what it look liked when I picked it up.
He had all the parts for it in a big bucket so I started to put it together with my friends and now this is what it looks like.
Here is a couple more pics of misc stuff.
After all that work is still didn't run so I decided to play with it some more. I started to rebuild the carb but after opening it up I realized it wasn't the stock carb, or even a Honda carb! So after some research I bought a new carb. The one I bought is a 22mm vs the stock one is 19mm
After riding my uncles i decided that it wasn't fast enough for me to drive it to work so I started to order a few more things. Below is the pictures of a new camshaft, and piston. Now I'm not sure on the exact numbers but the cam has only .5mm of lift but alot more duration. The piston is 54mm vs. 50mm with alot higher compression.
Thanks for looking and alot more too come. Next will be the machining of the block and the head gets clean!

Re: trail 90 rebuild (994door)
I had a 1970 CT90 back around 1998-99 that I bought from a freind who had acquired both it and its twin CT110 from an estate sale. 'Twas a nifty little dual-sport scooter. It had a lot of clever design features that made it more suitable for general trail riding and hunting-type use than an XR or XL.
Yours appears to have the '70 plastics, but the speedo unit is of a different vintage.
A word of advice: these bikes are not meant to run without a battery. I had a lot of nagging electrical issues with mine that resulted from it without a battery installed for extended periods.
