R6 or F4I?!?!
I've been looking at these two bikes for the past couple months and I can't decide which one I want. The R6 just looks badass, but the comfort level of that bike sucks. The F4I is fuel injected, and more comfortable, but it only has one head light that lights up. I'm in love with both bikes, and am undecided on which one I want to buy. If anyone can, please give me your opinions on both bikes.

Re: R6 or F4I?!?!
Being a person who can deal with being uncomfortale, I'd say go for the better looking R6. How's performance compare? I'm new to the whole sport bike thing, so I have no idea how they perform.

Re: R6 or F4I?!?! (HondasRfast)
R6 is going to be a little more twitchy, the F4i comes off as the more stable bike. This just depends on who you ask, usually varies depending on which they own.
MMM I'd hold out a couple more months when the 03' R6's come out, they are going to be FI as well so if that was one of your factors in purchasing a bike.

Ive always been a honda fan. The F4i gets my vote. Get an aftermarket seat cusion and Heli-bars and you can ride for hours no problem. Plenty powerful and can run in the corners with the best of them. I like the yellah paint scheme too

Re: R6 or F4I?!?! (B19CivicHB)
I'd also vote for the F4i, mainly due to power delivery.
R6 is a dog under 11k, but will pull the front wheel up with 275lb rider, right at 11k, and stay up until redline.
F4i has better powerband and is more comfortable, it will aslo pull the tire up ...but alot earlier.
Also R6 is still no f.i ....if i buy new i want fuel injection, not computer controlled carb.
Its your choice....both are pretty damn fast for a 600 tho, R6 is better looking tho.
I test rode both, then got a used cbr600 .. for starter bike...plus i'd feel like **** totalling a new 8000$ bike.
But either way you'll be happy, both are alot of fun to ride.

Re: R6 or F4I?!?! (TodaCivic)
well first of all you have to be a very responsible person to purchase a bike, do you have any experience? have you taken the msf course? well with that said i don't think your decision should be based on how many head lights a bike has, btw they both have two lights except the F4i's is not split like the R6. my pick would have to be the F4i because i find it a more comfortable bike and the performance differences are not far apart, its unoticeable if you aren't a very good at riding. i also like fuel injection as opposed to a carb because i like the throttle response more. the desicion is really based on what you like more

You'll be aching no matter which bike you choose.
R6-> back and wrist
F4i-> Your Bunns
Either way, you'll be sore after a day of hard riding. Performance wise, you probably wont notice it on the streets. Though i feel the r6 is easier to toss around a corner. The F4i feel heavier and bulky, but stable Both bikes will be a thrill ti ride. Like what the others members told you, it all comes down to what you want. And oh, f4is tend to have lower resale values than the gix or r6

presonnaly I like the R6 better othough I did own a F2 honda bikes are second to none on there fit and finish but are not as high strung as the yamahas or suzukis. the F2 would be a better bike for a begginer I think it is more forgiving in the corners and not a twitchy in the corners at high speed. better on the comfort too. but if you want to race around and stuff the R6 is better. so it all comes down to personnal prefferance and what you are going to really use it for...

Alright, same two bikes, but throw the GSXR 600 in the mix, which one should I get, I want the bike real soon, before riding season is over. But as of right now, I think I'm leaning towards the F4I.

Re: R6 or F4I?!?! (ITR 2K)
previous R6 owner. It is uncomfortable, but the 15,500 redline made up for it. I'd wait for the '03's as well if you are going with the R6.
My buddies F4 was much much much more comfortable. It felt a little bulkier, but wasn't as sqweemish in the curves as the Yamaha.
If you are basing your choice on looks. R6 hands down
comfort: F4
performance: ??? both are awsome bikes.

Re: R6 or F4I?!?! (ITR 2K)
i have a 99 R6 and i love it. It feels comfortable to me. I have also ridden an F4i and it is easier to ride for a beginner. Personaly id go with the R6. Its more compact and for me easier to manuver and it got the edge on looks on the F4i.

So in 03 there will be a FI R6? Hmm... I'll probably wait for that then, I'll test drive that one, and maybe then I can compare them better.
