Default The Official 2005 Moto GP, WSBK, and AMA Superbike thread

Ok I couldn't get the modified title of the first thread to show up so here it is.

Don't forget tomorrow at 12 pm EST the 1st round of the FIM World Superbike Championship will be airing on Speed Channel. Set your Tivos and VCR's boys and girls. I think I might take a long lunch tomorrow...

For those of you who didn't catch the races, I have it on tape. If enough of you want it I'll capture them and put them up for all to download.

The action was pretty intense, especially in race 2. I think this is easily going to be the best bike series to watch this season, even better than Moto GP. From watching the race I predict there will be at least 6 different winners this season.

The Results (anyone find where the fast laps are posted?)

Race 1:

1. Troy Corser AUS Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra GSXR1000 K5 37min 10.394 secs

I have it on tape, if you guys really want it I can capture it and put it on my webspace. I need to try to convince my provider to put bittorrent on the server so it can download faster though...

So yeah, who wants teh video capture?

I saw both of the races, it's so nice to see a variety of bikes instead of 90% duc's.

Is it just me or are the Zukes kicking derriere and taking names this year in production superbike racing.

Back to back wins in WSBK (including a 1-2), and finishing 1st, 3rd,and at Daytona in AMA Superbike. Did anyone see the Daytona race? I'm on deployment so I no have Speed Channel (not to mention I have to work on Saturday).

1 Mat Mladin American Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R1000
2 Neil Hodgson Ducati Austin Ducati 999
3 Ben Spies American Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R1000
4 Aaron Yates American Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R1000
5 Jake Zemke Erion Honda Honda CBR1000RR
6 Miguel Duhamel American Honda Honda CBR1000RR
7 Jason Pridmore Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R1000
8 Geoff May M4 Emgo Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R1000
9 Kurtis Roberts Erion Honda Honda CBR1000RR
10 Steve Rapp Jordan Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R1000

I hope Hodgson can consistently take the fight to Mladin this season. It has the makings of another Bayliss/Edwards duel...

I have a feeling that once Pridmore get's the superbike sorted out he's going to be up on the box a few times as well.

Ben "elbows" Spies should be in the running also.

I don't think this season is going to be an easy one for Mladin.

Can't wait till April!!!

So I'm guessing Arrow exhaust is like a major sponsor for WSBK?

Welp, fresh from the WSBK trest at Valencia, the Zukes are on top again. Vermy and Muggers have obliterated the gap though. BBoz is still struggling outside the top 20. Apparently he had a crash too. Toseland is a little off pace too but I don't expect he'll stay back there for long.
