Default New project... 300ex.

Picked up a new project yesterday. 2000 300EX frame with a 2003 GSXR-600 swap. Still have a lot to do to it.... Think i would be a little safer just buying a street bike. The twist throttle sucks it might as well not even be there... need to locate a better working one or replace it with a stock style thumb throttle. Anyone got something laying around they could sell me for cheap?

Yeah, that'd be insanity on the dirt. Well, at least in the woods

I'd love to ride one ... but sure if I'd want to own one. Hell, that thing'd probably own ME.

The previous owner said it ran 7.20@109 in the 1/8th mile. I have only been around 100 in the rain at the top of 3rd and it was spinning... fast enough for me.

I have a question. You called it a new project. But did you mean "project" as in projectile. As in it is an unguided missle?

The twist throttle on this one sucks.

Think im just going to sell this thing... has an oil leak... needs a hub... trans whines in 3rd gear. Anyone want a projectile ? I would trade for a stock quad... I need something slow.

Are you trying to say you think this is safer than a street bike?

btw. Atvs are legal to ride on the street here, or at least in Belgium! Lucky bastards.

I would gear it super high so you have tons of useable power. Who really needs to go faster than 70ish on the dirt?

In the backwoods of NH where a hick with pigs in his yard gave me a rope to tow home my sunken trx; you really can't unload more than the top of 2nd or 3rd.

That's it, I want a massive John Deere tractor to ride to work so I can just go straight down the hill. Get one for me?
