Looking at the same bike. Though as a moto newb, I'm thinking that's entirely too much bike for me. Good info.

600 RR is still way too much for someone who wants to learn how to ride well.

Whoa...tough crowd. I simply said I was looking at it and that I thought that it was going to be a little much. Thanks for the advice, bro.
Oh, and it was my third.

Sorry. I wasn't trying to come across as not nice. Just trying to help. A lot of people would even say a 600RR is too much for your first bike. It's a gray area.

Re: New bike owners (buji)
No worries bud. FWIW, I was also looking at some older Ninjas or CBR's.
I'm sure this has been asked already. I'll do a search.

2003 CBR 954RR
$132 a month.
$2000 Down.
$54 Insurance a month.
I got the 954RR for my first bike. I would strongly advise people to consider how much self-control they have before getting 954RR. I love mine and would never give it up. It's impossible to describe how fast it really is.

Re: New bike owners (spoonfed95)
I am trying to find a decent bike also but insurance is expensive!($250 a month, full coverage) I want to finance a bike but no bank(so far) will let me have liability only. I was willing to put $3000 down but noone will do it. I am only looking to get a 600f4i but they will not finance or loan out anything under $7000. anybody got any suggestions?

Not so much gray more red, the gray part is the pavement that the red is on top of.

Re: New bike owners (b18hatch)
umm i wouldnt go that far,my 600rr was my first motorcycle, all of my friends who have had there bikes for quite sometime all started on comparable bikes an have become very skilled riders,it depends on the person, not the bike, (in this case) call me a a stupid newb or whatever but i thought over my purchase an did the thinking took the MSF coarse.

Re: New bike owners (ArmyGreenITR)
well said. i've had 2 friends buy new r6's as their first bike and both have had no problems learning the skills necessary to ride them. matter of fact (knock on wood), neither of them has even dropped them and its been over a year now. if you're responsible you can start out on damn near ANY bike.
