Sorry, Skillett, that sucks. The NOVA LEO is out on the prowl in a big way lately. Hope they didn't hit you too badly?

Doesn't matter in the least as long as you've got it on you when the blinkers go off behind you

I keep mine in my wallet. When I keep it in the little compartment on the bike it gets all moist from the wonderful swampish humidity and from morning dew.

Nah, the dude was being cool as I know I was in the wrong. I should have got it inspected right away. Procrastination FTL. He hit me up at the 7100 HOV exit, he was on the island checking for HOV violating biatches.

But personally, IMO, if its DOT and SNELL approved its safe enough for me. I spent $400 on my helmet and its an HJC AC-12. I love it, and it looks killer (Carbon Fiber) and I think I got my moneys worth.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah, HJC helmets aren't that bad. Theyr'e just inexpensive because they're made in Korea. Still good helmets though.

Re: n00b Checking In. (The_Head)
congrats on the bike, looks very nice for a 99 w/ 21,000 miles. As for gear I always reccomend the top 3 in each
Helmets- Suomy, Arai, Shoei
Jackets- Alpinestar, Icon, AGV
Gloves- Alpinestar, Teknik, Icon
Boots- SIDI, A*, Icon (i wear the icon boots because me feet are huge and they fell like normal boot)

oh yeah and iono about you, but i quit on cars after i got on bikes.
Especially around here in bay area california, everyone here mugs you and gives you "hardcore" looks when you drive a lowered honda, everyone here has a big *** ego. I got tired of ricer 16 year old kids in highschools with there rally ride hieght civics with Fart can's revving at me thinking there hard.
The bike community is really friendly, i ride with sport bikes and some harleys at work, even bikers in there cage's come up to me at gas stations and talk.
Cant find that in the car "scene" mainly just immature 16 year olds.
