200-400 every 6-7k miles, and cheap? Lol are you kidding me? If you do own one, you better learn to do that stuff yourself </TD></TR></TABLE>
well considering thats a entire season for most riders, i dont think its that bad.

I just bought a 2001 sv650 as my first bike, I hadn't ridden for about half a year since I got my license and it was really easy to get going on it (I am by no means a pro) but it is great for daily riding

Isn't "2nd gen" after 2003+ when they went FI?

I got a chance to take CblP's SV out for a spin yesterday, and it is one impressive bike. The seating position is very sporty and not very comfortable (coming from my plush seat and spacious seating position), but the engine is absolutely amazing. The stock exhaust is really quiet, the low end torque is fantastic, and the midrange is also very good. Seeing as it isn't my bike I didn't test top end power, but I can imagine its also very good. If only I could hone one of these into my Yamaha...

Correctamunda. 1st gen looks great naked. Sexy lines and it sort of resembles a Monster. 2nd gen is more edgy and looks better for the S sub model.
