As do the other manufacturers... And obviously you haven't ridden a street or speed triple, or a rocket three, or a triumph tiger.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Actually I have been on a speed triple a street triple. I have found that the street triple is not even in the same league as say the Kawi Z1000 or other comperable bikes. I also don't like the speed triple in general......IMHO, it lacks a little in every department......comfort most of all.

Apparently neither have you, so why comment?
Been reading those magazines with everyone else you point fingers at?
Can the omniscient attitude and you may end up not looking so hypocritical.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I have 35 hours on an 07 250SX...and it's by far the fastest two stroke I've ever ridden around a MX track. After spending a day working with the powervalve, and changing springs, I fell in love. Problem was, it made me lazy when I went back to my mod bike (250F), or 144sx. with the green spring, and the power valve two turns out...I could leave the 250SX in 3rd gear and lightly clutch it out of tight corners, and still have enough top end to clear the 125ft triple at that track. Yamaha has always built a good 2 stroke, but they also haven't developed it since '03. JUST WAIT until KTM gets done with their direct injection project...they will reign supreme over the 4 strokes...
I'm returning that 600RR today...had A LOT of fun on it. Later on, I'll be flogging the daytona like usual...I really am interested in the '09 600RR, and wondering if I should just go pickup a left over '08, or wait for '09 1000RR.
As for my attitude...If you don't like it, don't read my posts. but I believe you're doing yourself a HUGE dis-service if you miss what I have to say...me? I only talk in absolutes, and facts.

I will agree with KTM bikes. THey always seem to bring together an amazing machine. Them and Gas Gas alwasy seem to have the most race ready machines out. They are very potent machines.
As for what you have to say, sometimes you bring valid points but you ALWAYS have a one sided argument and are never open to compromise. That is a very ignorant trait if you ask me. Just because you like it and you come from the same country that it is made, does not mean it is the best. Face it.
Graphite, I have never really had a problem with you. I have a problem with your elitist attitude that you have when you have no validation to be that way. You act as if you are superior and we should be fawning at your every word. That is a completely assenine way to be. Have you ever heard of debate with the possibility that you may be wrong? Apparently not.
I will say this once more, step it down a notch man. You will be tolerated much better, and who knows, respected. Otherwise, you will just continue down the miserable path and be banned eventually.

-i found a flaw in this poll......just like the one i found in solar vs. wind power. (kyle )
if i gave everyone(or anyone) $82,910.00 to spend on ONE motorcycle....
-you're a F-ing liar if you say different. noob or seasoned harley rider, the desi is just plain beautiful. even someone who doesn't ride, put a picture of any model against it and 10/10 will pick the desmosedici.

I don't think any motorcycle is worth that much, it is very nice but with that kind
of money I would have a fleet of bikes and cars.

Re: H-T Favorite Bike by Brand poll (crxma22)
It all depends on what size you're talking about but If it's a 600cc I would take the CBR!! but if it's a 1000cc I go with the meanest and baddest machine of them all The ZX10R.

u know the new cbr1000rr is lighter than the zx10r and pulls a quicker quarter mile
despite the fact that the zx10r has 10 more hp, i think the 1krr makes up for it

Youre right the 1000rr is lighter and Magazines give better numbers to the 1000rr in the 1/4 mile but in the real world the one that gets smoke is the CBR!! The 08 ZX10r went 9.0s on stock motor and wheelbase already! stretched and lowered went 8.90s! Honda is not even close to those numbers!

You talk about 'in the real world', and then go on to talk about sanctioned track events again.
From a land missile perspective, the ZX10R is a monster; from a handling point of view, the 1000rr is a monster. It all depends on what you want the bike for.

I own a Yamaha and between my brother and my friends we mostly have Yams, but I'd say Hondas have that special something about them, the feeling that they were created with a sort of passion other bikes lack. This is all pre 1980s bikes I'm musing about btw. Take my brother's CB360 for example: horrible to ride long distances, not that fuel efficient, not that fast, suspension is crap. However, the shifter is buttery smooth, it revs to the moon without showing any signs of distress, and is infinitely flingable in corners.

oh noes, you fellings were hurt so you call me a redneck? idiot.......might as well resort to yo' mamma jokes.
as for the the others like the speed triple, street triple and sprint.......
I can name five bikes right off of the top of my head from different manufacturers that not only perform better, offer better reliablity, are more comfortable and not only cost less than your precious Triumph lineup.
I do ride bikes, LOTS of them. I have grown up around professional motorcyclists and they have an abundance of motorcycles that are there for me to take a spin on any time I would like. Triumphs are included in their selection.
Every Triumph I have ever ridden has been extremely uncomfortable for me and I feel that the handlebar position they like to apply to their bikes is a bit awkward. I feel they are better suited for smaller stature riders rather than big guys like me.
FROM EXPERIENCE, I have not seen very many highly competitive machines come from Triumph's stables with the exception of the 675. The other bikes they offer are kind of a step down if you ask me, and since this was a poll, I was asked.
go on, run and play outside. Let the grownups talk.</TD></TR></TABLE>
the 1050 triple is one of the best motors on the planet imo. the speed triple is a beast. absolute beast. i'll take it over a tuono or brutale any day.
i'd pick triumph if it was an option, but since it wasn't, i'll go honda.

The triple is lacking IMO. It may have the torque down low but what about up top?
TO ME, the big Triumphs ride a lot like big liter Buell's. They handle nicely and are AWESOME off of the line but when needed up top, they suck. They string out. They continue to pull, but not like they should and certainly not like the 675 does in the performance aspect. In upper RPM's the 675 feels like it just wants to keep on going. It ALMOST feels like a four cylinder with a medium sized set of *****
Don't get me wrong, the handle well, pull nicely but they are not on the top of the performance chain. There are better bikes for the money and frankly, they are uncomfortable as hell. All Triumphs are in my opinion. Something about the way they design the ergonomics is very discomforting to me. I get off and my lower back always hurts.
