Default Got some cool pictures of me on my 1000RR!

I went down to visit some friends in San Diego and I decided to stop by Telegraph Canyon Road one more time for some good memories! My friend came along with his camera and got some cool shots !! Here they are :

and one of the tire after the little canyon run!

i don't promote this kind of riding on the street, so ride how you want at your own risk!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't both wheels suppose to be on the ground?

Nice pics.

I need ta hit those roads someday - heard they're great.

I stick mainly to Palomar - early in and out to avoid max squidage.

I went to Palomar once and I thought it sucked huge ***, I never went there again. Too many tar snakes and too many cars and too many tight turns...

Telegraph is a million times better to me - just hit 805 South and exit L Street / Telegraph Canyon road... go east (loop around) and just keep going down and it turns into Telegraph.

I always go early - I'm there, up and down the hill a few times and out by 11 tops.

Tight side is heaven and the fast side is sweet too - Mesa Grande will cure what ails ya

You came all the way to san diego and you go to telegraph? Haha just messing with you. The tight side of palomar is great. Only the top has a lot of tar snakes and it really isnt that bad. The tar snakes are overrated. They only get bad on the super hot days. Try it on a weekday and you'll love it.
The pix looks really good but it looks like the top of your body is fighting the turn still. You lower body is getting off but the main weight of your body. the upper, isnt rotating. Try kissing the mirror or putting a piece of tape in the middle of your windscreen and try to keep yer head on one half of the windscreen at a time.
Lemme know the next time you're in sd and we'll go ride some twisties.

Devlin: Check out http://www.socalsportbikes.com Mainly a bunch of sd guys. We ride a lot. The main group goes every sunday.

haha palomar is too far from SDSU area.... and i personally just like telegraph better. when i went to palomar it was super hot so maybe i just got a bad impression from the tar snakes. next time i'm down ill have to make an effort to go.

yeah the main reason why i wanted pictures was to analyze my form. i know the proper form but i guess i never properly executed it. first thing i realized after seeing the pics is that i need to "kiss the wrist" just like you say.

but in my defense i think because i'm not on a track and it's a public road with other vehicles, that i wanted to see more around the turn so i kept my head up a little bit, because i do know the dangers of riding on the street so i try to be as cautious as possible while still doing what i want.

i have about 17,000 miles between f4i/954/1000rr.

6000 are on the 1000rr.

the 1000rr has plenty low end, i don't need to gear it for anything, i love how it rides as is right now..i can power it up in 1st 2nd and 3rd, no need for a sprocket.

i do a lot of commuting too so i enjoy the better gas mileage.
