all i can say is WOW. I love them. I bought my bike a month ago (03 600RR) which still had the stock Dunlop D208's with 8k miles on them.

I rode around for probly 30 miles to get em nice and warm and somewhat broken in, and taking it easy in those 30 miles i could tell a huge difference. After that, i pushed them a little ... but not too much .. and WOW. When i first got my bike, i wasn't too impressed with the handling, but these tires feel amazing. My D208's i was nervous in turns, but these are solid as a rock, and make turning so much easier, and so much fun.

Granted these are my only experience of an aftermarket tire, and i'm going from worn out OEM's .. but they are amazing, especially for right around $260/set.

I only hear good things about the PP, my next of tires is either gonna be the PP or diablos.

Pilot Powers rock. I put em on a couple of months ago after having stock dunlops on my R1.

I actually just put on some diablos.... they grip a little better than stock (dunlop 218) but i hear the pilot powers are a whole new world, so i def want to get a set of those in the future...

I ordered a set of Power Race tires a couple weeks ago (still waiting for rear)...I'll let you guys know how they are

LUCKILY ... i bought them at cycle gear and spent the extra $12 for road hazard .. basically if you get a nail in your tire within the 1st quarter of the tread, they replace it for FREE .. after that, it's pro rated.

If i had boughten these off ebay, i would have just screwed myself out of $140.

I have had the pilot powers on my bike for about 2 weeks now. Absolutely amazing tires. They feel like they turn into the curves all by themselves.


Let us know about the power race big pete. If my bike was a all out track bike and i had $ for tire warmers those would be my choice too

i can only compare to stock dunlop tires on a GSXR whcih were thenr eplaced by some Metzler sport tec M-1. But the Michelin PP are the **** for street. The difference between the stock to the M1 were night and day. the difference to the M1 to the PP are not night and day but they are much better than the M1. They seem to have better grip at lower temps and are much more willing to turn in. on my old M1 i had about a finger or two on the "chicken strips" but on these PP i have no "chicken strip" for what it is worth.

I don't have any other tires to compare too, but I have the M1's on my 6R. When you say about a 1-2 finger "chicken strips", do you mean to say that because of the tires your strips are bigger with the M1's and less with the PP or because you are leaning more?

I have heard nothing but good things about the pilot powers, im sure those will be my next tires. right now im running the metzler sportec M1's and those were a huge step up over my old D207s

I have no more strips on the PP because the tires just want to be layed on like a *****. I think that the tires are just that much more stickier. I feel alot more comfortable/confident on the PP. They are great tires (PP) . The M1 were great step up from stock dunlops . And the PP are a great step up from the M1

I have the pilot powers on my 954rr (up from the oem pilot sports) and I have to say that the tires are confidence inspiring...whether or not it is just in my head, I can't say.

However, I did swith over to a 180 rear and can tell a world of difference, if you have considered making the change, go through with it

went from the 208's to my PP's a while ago, and man o man... they are sick... the fact of the matter is, my feelers are basically worn down on my foot pegs,

the PP's love to be whroed around turns... my gf has the pilot sports and they are also a nice tire... however nothing i've seen compares to the PP's

and BTW, i got a nail in my PP's up in mechanicsville and had to get another put on, all they had were 190's on the rear.. handled like poo compared to my 180 i have on now...

and just got a new rear put on for $150

I wanted to get some Diablos but i've heard they suck in a 160. Idk anyone got PPs on a smaller rim?

I just installed a set on my bike too, havent taken em to the twisties yet. Only bad thing I've heard about them is that when they finally lose traction they just snap loose without any warning. Thats one of the things I loved about m1's and 012's, they had great feel and feedback.

i finally got my rear replaced .. for FREE from Cycle Gear ... and i did an oil change with Castrol Superbike R4.

Can't wait to break in the rear again, and see how the new oil holds up
