Does everyone drop the first bike they have?
In almost every "what bike should I get thread" everyone points to the fact that people should get 250's and that chances are they are going to lay it down.
My first bike was a 2002 gsxr-750 and I haven't laid it down(yet ) so Im wondering why people assume everyone is going to lay their first bike down?
BTW I rode the gxsr for about a month and then took the Cali DMV test on it and passed.
Am I lucky? Did you guys lay your first bike down...

well i made so Im safe for the weekend
I did however run into some douchebag in a civic on the freeway that thought he would be a badass and tailgate me @ 80, so I accelerate a little to 90 to move over a lane and the ****** flies past me on the right at roughly 110.

I guess thats statistics...If I sold my bike today then I wouldnt have crashed on my first bike and if I kept it forever, chances are that I will have crashed.
Guess I need to move on to number 2

I didn't personally drop my first bike, but a friend of mine did. Does that count?
I've dropped my F3 once. The Superhawk has been down three times. The last time, I missed my footing and rolled off the bike as it fell down. All my wife heard was "Oh sh*t!" and then BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP when my hand got caught between the horn and tank.

Re: (thehondabuddy)
i live'd on a hill (signal hill), and it was steep, and i dropped it once, then my friend sat on it, and put too much weight down hill and dropped it the first drop is the deepest, and after that u just hope it drops on the same side with the same amount of force so it wont mess anything else up

Re: Does everyone drop the first bike they have? (ZCHF)
I got my first bike a few weeks ago. My buddie and I went for a ride, we stopped to look at a lake. Jumped off it was ok. My buddie bumps it as he walks by it and knocks it over. Broke the right front turn signal and moved the cowl a bit to the left but that was all the damage....I've found....

i've dropped mine 3 times. Twice on the 3rd day I got it. Once week later, it fell by itself cuz the kick stand went into the ground quicker than I thought it would LOL (dont ask) In case you're wondering I started out with a heavy *** bike, 2001 yzf600r 405lbs!!!

Hahahaha! I'm not going to say anything about me dropping a bike, don't want to jinx myself. Although today I was a retard and put the kickstand down in the grass.

Re: (Nihonjin)
i dropped my first bike a total of 3 times. 2 times were my fault, 1 time wasn't. as a matter of fact, the first time dropping my bike only occurred 5 minutes after owning the bike .
also dropped my second and current bike once, when i went to put it on the bike stand and it missed the spool on the other side and tipped over in my garage.
of all the people i ride with, about 90% of them all dropped their bikes, and on top of that, probably 9 out of 10 of the ones who dropped their bike financed their first bike.
