Default Broken gastank.....little problem.

Ok, for those of you familiar with the crf 50 I have a question. I was riding the "50" up a somewhat steep hill and hit a rock or something and ended up tossing the bike.

Its in good condition and only a scratch here/there. Only problem is that I somehow managed to knock out the gascap thing that sits inside the tank. Here's what I mean:

The part circled in red there actually popped out and won't go back in.

Anyone ever have this problem? If so, how did you take care of it?

New tanks are not that expensive.

Not exactly true. The part number for the tank is 17510-GEL-700 from 04-07and you can get it from servicehonda.com for 141.58 plus shipping. In my experience they have much better prices than your local dealer will do for you. I would say replacing it is the only way to really fix it.

Yeah gonna have to bite the bullet and buy a new one looks like. I have everything else for it like hoses and petcock.......ebay seems to have a decent selection. My friend has been riding 50's for several years (even racing a few) and told me he has never seen that happen
