Brand New Rider
Hey what up guys. Just started riding a couple days ago and i just bought a 04 CBR600RR yesterday. Ive just been riding around base to get comfortable before taking off on the roads. I was wondering are your hands suppose to cramp up while riding? My hands started to cramp after 30 mins of riding.

A supersport will do that to you.
I'll be the first to ask:
MSFGEARINSURANCE? Even though I think the MSF is highly lacking in preparing new riders for going on public roads, it's better than nothing.

Re: Brand New Rider (CivicWagonRUS)
I took the MSF Course. Thats was my first time on a bike and I messed up my elbow from using the front brake. I learned my lesson since. Got my license right after i passed the class.
I bought a Shoei Helmet, Joe Rocket Honda Jacket, and Honda Gloves.
Insurance I have State Farm.

No they aren't. You have the typical n00b death grip. Squeeze the tank with your knees to support your weight.
Buy some decent riding boots/shoes, pants, and enjoy riding. Congrats.

Along with using your knees to squeeze the tank, flexing your abs will help keep the weight off your back. You want to keep a bend in your elbows so that you aren't putting too much weight on the wrists. You should also adjust the brake and clutch levers (typically, two small, hex-head bolts on each clip-on) so that they are inline with your forearm when you ride.

Pants and boots as well. After the head and hands, the foot are the easiest place to have a debilitating injury.
Regarding pants, if you go for a slide, what are you going to be sliding on? Either your butt, thighs, or knees. By the way, jeans do nothing on pavement. So please, get some riding pants.
