Re: Anyone only own a motorcycle?
I was 2 wheels only for about 2 years when I was active duty Navy in Norfolk, VA. 1 year was a motorcycle, and the other was a bicycle.
Like Kook says, it depends on how dedicated you are.

Quality saddle bags or top cases (think givi or even cyclegear stuff) will be critical if you're looking to do moto-only.
My truck has been driven less in the last 8 months, than my bike has in the last 2 weeks.

I am about to go motorcycle only, granted I will be walking distance from necessities and 5 miles from just about anything else I would ever need to do.

what kind of bike are we talking about? kinda hard to put saddlebags on a crotch rocket, but if thats the way you swing then whatever you can fit in a backpack. might have to make a few trips if you're planning on stocking the pantry, but itll work

I ride every day. I find it hard to drive in traffic anymore.... I carpool when it rains
I find I can fit all I need in a good size backpack. I add a tail bag if i really need to carry a bunch of stuff.
Having a car on the side is a must for other tasks.

Been almost 2 years since I sold my cars and got a bike. I usually have them beezys pick me up when we go out. And borrow a household member's car whenever I need it, but I refuse to get a car until a bit longer haha

Now when I drive, if I hit the slightest bit of traffic I start to hate the fact that I'm not on my bike lmao! I get all fired up hahah and by the end of it, the wife wants me dead LOL.

I got an old parachute bag (google it) and I can put a whole lot in it and then use the bungee net to secure it. It's my ghetto saddlebag system, but it's way cheaper. I've travelled to Seattle and back, and Cali and back using this method.
I'd rather have nice luggage of course, but I am poor.

I got a ninja as my first vehicle; parents wouldnt let me get a car. Worked great for years even got stuck in the snow a few times but preferred car in winter and rain if I could borrow it.
