Hi MaVi, I'm in a similar position, recently purchasing my first bike: a 1973 CB350F with a VIN Plate Date very near my own conception date.

Keep us updated, for sure. I'll be doing a photoblog/journal of my rebuilds (I bought 7 bikes in 5 days!). If/when I actually get the site going I'll repost here.

Here's a pic of "Cabalina Bianca" (dismantled), with her elder sister "Catalina Beatriz" (stock 350F)...

My project bike is an old CL350. I'm a bit big for it but it's what I'll be learning on until I can afford something more suited for me. It was my brother's bike and he's been helping me get it running so I can ride it.

(Mostly) After:

Still needs a few things but she runs.

That's got to be the oldest on the forum.

It looks like a mini BMW.

I'm sure it's the oldest on the forum, perhaps second or third oldest Honda in the USA (I only know of one older Honda here stateside, a 1951 Honda Dream D-type, but I'm sure there could be other older ones here that I don't know of).

This is the oldest bike I have. It's a 1973 Yamaha CT1 that has been totally restored. I was just going to keep it around to look at, but I think I'm going to plate it and sell the XL that I have. Ride it around town or a trail every once in awhile.

It must depend on your age. If that person is 17, then the answer is probably yes to him.
