2001 f4i engine specs?
I was wondering what specs are know about the 2001 Honda f4i engine? E.G: bore, stroke, rod length, valve size, head flow rates, compression height, etc....
Basically I am just trying to learn what is known about this engine. Searching has not turned up much information.

Sure, let me help you out bud.
Paltry
Short
Minuscule
teeny
tremendous
Astronomical
It has 4 round opening with metal objects in them, 16 or so little metal stems in there somewhere, some sort of strange green fluid flowing through it, and makes this really loud buzzing sound when you pull on the throttle real hard.

Re: 2001 f4i engine specs?
Does anybody have these numbers on any honda bike? I think a sticky would be a good idea if we can get them. I know most won't be able to do anything with the numbers, but people like db may be able to. I wouldn't mind seeing it just for comparisons.

FSAE Forums have way to much information on anything you need to know about the f4i, its the most common engine in the series.
Stuff i've learned from fsae + f4i, dont go turbo, its pointless, spend lots of time tuning your engine, the 20mm restriction kills the low end beyond what you can imagine, and it creats a big dip in the mid range power, if you dont tune properly the car will be a nightmare to drive.

Re: 2001 f4i engine specs?
We have not had a team in 9 years, I think. I thought perhaps the forums might know some in depth info about these motors. I guess not that many people build bikes? Maybe the ones who do keep what they know to themselves. At first a turbo sounded like a great idea, but the more I learn about how the restrictor affects airflow the more I am realizing that a turbo won't help much.
