I can tell you that the verdict over there is Arata, Akrapovic, and Sato. Micron's gotten some good reviews. I have a Jardine on my '03. I've never heard anyone else with a 600rr + exhaust, so I can't tell you by comparison...but what folks over at rr.net say is that D&D is by far the loudest. Yoshi / Jardine are at about the same decibels (loud). Most with '05-'06 Jardines tend to cut the exhaust so it doesn't 'jut' out as much. If you decide to get a full system, get a PC.

Re: (Ba4)
I saw your pictures over there in rr.net I believe...since you've had both exhausts, how loud is the Akrapovic compared to the Jardine? (looks great, btw)

The Jardine on the 06's does stick out alot further than on mine. I was riding with a guy and he cut like and inch off his.
I never could see spending all that money on a full system.
I picked up my slip on on ebay for 80 and paid 300 shipped for the header. There is no way I wouild spend close to a grand.
I am getting mine retuned next Tuesday then I am goign to the the V-stack mod with the OEM stacks and go back to the dyno.

Re: (Newk)
Full titanium yosh rs5. Best looking exhaust for the 600rr imho. Unique shape is nice and fits the bike nicely. The exhaust is quite the screamer at high rpms.

You're talking about a 5-600 dollar slip-on vs. a 250 dollar slip-on. Akrapovic is better in every aspect, from the looks, quality, and performance (even out of a slip-on).

the jardine is louder by not by that much, the akrapovic is a more smoother sound imo.

My bro has a jardine on his 600rr and it does not stick out at all. Sounds pretty badass to. Depending how much you want to spend you can find used full systems for a good price.

This is by far the best looking exhaust, if I could afford it I'd be all over it http://tyto.awardspace.com/pages/hama.html
But since I can't I'll stick with my full Yosh Titanium exhaust.

does anyone know where i can find sound clips of exhausts on a 600rr? I've searched for ever on 600rr.net, google, and such to try and find some, but to no avail.
i found a couple here or there, but i was looking for a wide variety.
I mainly want to hear a comparison similar to this:
http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0410_pipe_clips/
except on the 600rr instead of the R6
i know it may be a little much to ask, but it's a big IntaRw3B!!one!!1!

i personally have heard the Jardine, Two Brothers, Erion, and the Yoshimura
i like the sound of the Yosh the best. The Two Bros and Jardine were really loud and the Erion was 'ok' (no opinion). I've heard/read about great things regarding fitment, power gain, and sound from Arata and Akrapovic (they also appear to be the most expensive).

Akrapovic to me sounds good on any bike, u get what u pay for. But for the looks i haven't seen enough slip ons on RR bikes to make an opinion of them. I have a brand new Jardine CF slip on and midpipe in the box but i don't like the way it looks on the Repsol. Sticks out too much, not sure what i'm gonna do, i like the stock exhaust for the looks.
Sounds like i'll have to do some cutting and use a Hotbodies undertail for the looks, but they are expensive!

For a really clean looking exhaust on a 600RR is a yoshimura tri oval and it looks really good i just dont like the way a yoshi sounds on a 600
