Replacement for Driver's Seat

Replacement for Driver's Seat
I have a 2nd Gen GE Fit (U.S.). I'd like to get a driver's seat that is better than the stock seat. By better I mean more supportive, comfortable on long trips and offers a bit more lateral stability. Anyone ever replaced their stock seat? Any suggestions? Does the stock seat from a Civic SI fit in the Fit? Is the Civic seat wiring harness plug and play with the Fit?

Re: Replacement for Driver's Seat
I'm debating on the exact same thing. 2012 JDM Fit RS. Researching on 1) Recaros from JDM DC2R/DC5R 2) Seats from UKDM FN2, JDM FD2 and lastly CR-Z. Probably won't consider new Recaros / Brides as those are out of my budget.

Re: Replacement for Driver's Seat
Don't know much about non-US. I looked at Sparco and Recaro seats. Very expensive for my little Fit. For me there are 4 main considerations.
- Increased comfort on long trips, which rules out the lower end aftermarket seats.
- In US Fit the gas tank is under the driver and passenger seats, making installing replacement seats difficult.
- To clear the gas tank the seat height will be increased and might create problems for driver's knees.
- Retaining function of SRS safety system.
