Re: (trunks028)
Yeah, I can do that. I dont remember the size of the screws, but you can easily figure it out with the FX35 projector, since it has to fit it. I'll post back when I have it updated.

nice set of diys.
does that rear bar not have d brackets that bolt it to the frame?
if not, i dont understand how that works... also do you think it will be over kill with factory suspension?

Re: (thisisntjared)
It's diff from a DC2. No D brackets or bushings, it just bolts into the bottom of the rear spring seats. Three bolts on each side. Very easy install especially once you lift up the rear of the car and the rear springs almost fall out. Then you just have to bolt the bar on and put the rear springs back in and lower the car.

i dont expect you to be an engineer, but how does it work to compress one side with the other? i guess i just dont understand how the geometry of it functions without d brackets.

I copied and pasted this from manxman on FitFreak.net.
"The Progress bar reinforces the rear suspension by limiting the flexing of the axle beam."

Re: (thisisntjared)
I haven't autoxd with the Fit yet, but I plan to in Spring. If there is one mod you should do for the Fit it is this rear sway bar. It is a major improvement to the driving/handling of the car.

i always wondered why the car felt good with just a front sway bar. i didnt realize the suspension setup was an axle beam... it might be more efficient to just stiffen the axle beam with frame foam.

It's a mod you should do on any car wether it is for a daily or not. It will give better steering response and feel a lot more safe turning imo.

i am surprized it made a difference in the fit though.

Re: (solbrothers)
Composimo and myself both did the progress rear bar. Was some issues with their hardware so we sell a kit to fix that. Both of us auto-x our Fits and it is a huge differance. Composimo got first place at the last event with his Fit.

i know the sway bars make a big difference with efs, eks, egs, dcs, and whatever else that has independent rear suspension. i am just surprized that it does so much with the fit since it has a rear axle beam.

Re: (smeister)
This thread is great and should be sticky'd or at least be a great beginning for diy/faq thread!!
I will def have to look in to the sway bar!! looks like a great mod!
The wife wants to mod the car like crazy lol, it will probably end up being mostly cosmetic, but I never do anything non functional!! no rice here!!
Damn warranties... damn 3 year wait until big mods...
