Custome plate for my fit
i want to get a custome plate made for my fit. any one have one made or any ideas i want it to relate to the fit. so far my family and i have one in mind and im filling out the application now to see it its available.
the one we really like is JAPJAZZ
the other thing about the JAP part is that im a amateur photographer and my last
name is jelensky so it would stand for jelensky armature photographer, but it also plays off of the Japaneses jazz.
we also came up with
SLIMFIT
FIT FTW
JAZZFTW
what do you guys think?

Re: Custome plate for my fit (NScivic)
As you are asking, here is my opinion. I lived and worked in Japan for eight years up until 2006, I can fully state any mention of the word "jap" will be taken as an insult to a Japanese person. Honestly, I would avoid the word in any form. You love the car, and one would be led to believe the design and mind of the people who are behind the car. One also assumes you use Japanese cameras and photograhy equipment. Taking a chance, even a small one in insulting a people and nation is your call. Having to explain how JAP breaks down into a something meaningful to you is a risk I would not take. Once insulted it is really too late.
Not to mention JAP also breaks down into Jewish American Princess, something I recall from my university days. If this makes a difference as well.
You have many options, try not to paint yourself into a corner. I know I would go with anything but JAPJAZZ.
My two cents.

EL is right. Everybody makes that misconception that the "jazz" is the JDM model of the honda fit but actually that is totally wrong. In japan, the Honda FIT is called the Honda Fit. BUT in europe, the honda fit is called the honda JAZZ. that's why i don't understand why some people put the jazz emblem when it's the european model of the honda fit.

You missed the point. He said he wanted to call it JAPJAZZ for 2 reasons. One was the Jazz being japanese.... when it's not.

I thought that koolkevin was referring to the badging of the cars, rather than the vanity plate.
BTW, the Jazz isn't the 'European' model as there are many countries in Asia that have it named Jazz instead of Fit. Honda likes to confuse their customers!!

Re: (Solscud007)
FIT is only badged in Japan, China, and NA/Canada. Everywhere else is Jazz which that includes: Europe, Oceania (Australia/NZ), Africa, Middle East, and South East Asia (Thailand/Malaysia).
