Default About to purchase a honda Fit 2009 model

I've only seen the sports model. What color is the interior for a basic model? I'm looking to get a silver or white car.

Dealer here in Ohio is selling them for straight MSRP. Looking at picking up a 09 sport manual this weekend if I make up my mind.

21k for a Fit? What's the point?

I thought the Fit was a CHEAP and practical car?

Fits are so much less in Japan... guess its all about demand/supply. No dealer markups here.

they are cheaper over there because they don't have to include the shipping cost to US.

a 20' container costs between 3000 to 4000 USD to ship.

You also have to think about economy of scale , but also profit margin.
Fits are hot right now, so Honda will try and make a little more off them.

I highly doubt Honda would tack on $3-4k per vehicle to ship each FIT in a container from Japan --> US. I'm sure this is the most common method used.
PCC (Pure Car Carriers Ship) 12 to 13 layers of gigantic parking lot-like buidling specialyy designed to carry huge amount of vehicles. Loading can be done by rampway situated in the middle of the ship and stern. Unloading is done in RORO form.

I'd think that the "destination charge" would include the shipping.
http://automobiles.honda.com/fit/price.aspx
1MSRP excluding tax, license, registration, $670.00 destination charge and options. Dealer prices may vary.

I got mine for ~$21.5k for a 09 White Fit Sport. It's pretty sad how much us Canadians get charged compared to you guys in the US.

The dealships here in utah only have autos. Selling for MSRP though. Test drove one, and the interior is very nice for a $17k car.

Just bought my 09 Fit Sport AT last night! Love it! No navigation, but free wheel locks, pinstripe, and rim protectors. $16,970 before taxes and fees at Pacific Honda in San Diego!

I went there to buy my '08 Fit Sport in March of 08 and they were complete ***-hats, looks like you did well in your pricing. I went to Norm Reeves in Cerritos and they far more agreeable in pricing than any dealer I talked too and visited in San Diego.
