Where is the Fuel Rail Pulsation Damper on Gen4 CR-V?

Default Where is the Fuel Rail Pulsation Damper on Gen4 CR-V?

I own a 2014 CR-V. Honda introduced a new fuel rail starting with the 2010 model year (part# 16620-R40-A01). There is no pulsation damper on these fuel rails. I thought it performed an important function. The damper was present on previous model years. This same fuel rail is used on 8th gen Accords, some Civics and Cross-Tours.

So, how and what dampens the fuel pulsation in these new fuel rails?

The 2014 CR-V’s has a fuel pump that allows both high fuel flow and pulsation suppression.

If you look at Honda parts diagrams, you will find that on 8th generation Accords, PZEV models still had a fuel pulsation damper at the fuel rail and a different fuel pump part number vs. non-PZEV (which did not have a pulsation damper at the rail).

Thank you for your response. You are correct about the PZEV Accords having a pulsation damper on the fuel rail. I didn't look at all the variations on the parts list, there are so many.

You're welcome.

My point wasn't to correct you regarding that all 8th generation doesn't have a fuel rail pulsation dampener; it was to point out that when it had the rail pulsation dampener, then it had a different fuel pump.

Anyone care to walk me through how you go from the factory fuel lines to the AN type lines that the aftermarket rails use?
