SO I CALLED HONDA THEY GAVE ME A CLAIM NUMBER,( WE HAVE A $500 DEDUCTIBLE)..IF IT WAS A DEFECT WHY WOULD I WANT TO PAY FOR IT .YOUR FRIENDLY SE...RVICE GUY WALKED IN THE WAITING ROOM AND SAID "I NOT A FORENSIC EXPERT BUT THE IMPACT WAS FROM INSIDE MAYBE HE GOT ANGRY AND HIT IT. I ASKED FOR MY CAR BACK TOLD HIM WHAT WAS SAID TO ME.THEN IT GETS GOOD THE GUY THAT YOU ARE SHAKING HANDS WITH IN THE PICTURE SAID I TOLD THE OTHER GUY MY HUSBAND HIT IT. HE THEN SAID THAT I DIDN'T EVEN CALL HONDA, AND THE GLASS PEOPLE SAID THE CLAIM WAS APPROVED, I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO PAID THE DEDUCTIBLE. Cindy

Next time turn your CAPS LOCK off. We are trained to read the shapes of the words and not the actual letters themselves. This causes things posted in ALL CAPS to become extremely hard to read.

Sincerely,

EVERYBODY ON THE INTERNET

Read this http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/...g-sunroof.html

Claim it on your auto insurance. This is a risk when you purchase a car with a sunroof. The glass could have a defect in it and it could possibly explode. You're not fucked, Honda's not ******* you over. Your car just had some shitty glass. THIS IS NOT A ISSUE THAT ONLY HAPPENS IN HONDAS

P.S. Never ever ******* ever write in all caps on the internet. It's like writing a college thesis in Comic Sans font. You look like a idiot and nobody takes you seriously.

My eyes are bleeding from trying to read that mess.

Guess what? A rock hit it. Period. The end. Moonroofs don't implode for no reason. It-was-a-rock. Side glass and moonroofs cannot take rock impacts like the windshield can.

How can anyone tell what hit it if the glass is shattered?

If someone at a dealer told you your husband punched out the tempered moonroof, tell them I said they are ******* stupid and then go find a dealer that isn't insane!

The moonroof is angled forward and rocks travel in an arc. Yes, it was a rock.

Warranty is for factory defects. A rock isn't a factory defect. The fact that Honda was willing to help at all shows just how good their customer service is. Yes, your dealer apparently has someone there talking out of their ***, but that isn't Honda's fault. All dealers are different.

You might as well suck it up and pay for a new glass if your insurance won't pay for it. Insurance looks at it like a cracked windshield or nail in a tire. Some policies will cover road hazards like that and some won't.

Summary:

Whoever you are talking to at the dealer is an idiot.
A rock hit it.
Honda didn't do it.

LOL, I read some of the stuff dogbiscuit linked to. Typical customer denial even though you can point out the impact area plain as day.

The only car on the road argument doesn't hold water either. It is certainly possible to get hit with a rock from your own tires.

The vacuum of travelling at speed when the glass shatters and the extra space taken up by the cracks usually causes the glass to bow upwards and remain that way. Maybe that is why the guy thought it was "punched out". Sounds so dumb when I type it....
