Default Largest tires for 99 crv

Whats the biggest tire I can mount on a stock 15" crv rim without rubbing. This winter is gonna be a doozy and want to install some aggressive winter tires for the snow this year.
Thanks
Rick

Actually, smaller winter tires are actually better. When I was using 205, they were doing better than the 225.
Same tire brand-make, model.

Anyhow, 215/75/15 is the most common and biggest you can go without rubbing issues on a stock 1G CRV.

As mentioned, stick with the 205/70-15s as they are more appropriate for snow use. The wider you go, the less bite you will have on a snow-packed surface.
