hello! new to the site and excited to post and share my CR-V story. Unfortunately, I cannot post until 5 days have passed. Here is my story (with no pics lol. I will repost with pics when I am allowed.)

My girlfriends dad bought a CRASHED 2001 CR-V from an auction house. It was crashed all the way in to the engine/manifold. It was also hit on the rear left panel. Airbags were deployed and all kinds of pieces were missing (from the crash and from it sitting at at repo/salvage yard kind of place). I told him I would buy it from him and would slowly restore it. For some reason I felt drawn towards it. Its paint was faded. No airbags. No radio. It was missing trim pieces, interior pieces, and again, crashed all the way into the manifold. I slowly started the process of fixing this thing. My girl friends dad does body work so he pulled and straightened the frame back to where it needed to be. We rebuilt the body (buying the panels and bumpers, etc.) and added the sheet metal to support the front bull bar. I slowly eBayed and Craigslisted all the missing pieces. I sent for the Airbag module to be reset. I found some guy who sold airbags in L.A. Out of some sketchy warehouse. I had the seatbelt sensors reset at some other back alley sketchy shop. Every paycheck I would set aside some money for parts. We painted it. In another week, we painted all the trim. A couple more weeks, I started to buy accessories (hub caps, stickers, tire cover, etc.). I bought new tires. I finally got around to buying a roof rack and cargo basket (pretty cheap <$140 for the whole roof set up). Then my bull bar ($120 with mounting kit) (I had to customize the brackets because of the accident). I then bought the lights ($65 with all wires and 2 remote switches) and wired everything myself. It was a fun project. I love my CR-V. It took a long time but it was worth it. I hope you enjoy it. I want to maybe lift it a bit, sport rims? I know I am looking for those rare nerf sport running boards. What do you think? I didnt have a phone at the time I first got it, so I dont have any pics of it crashed. First picture I took what when we fixed the damages. Which really bums me out heh.

Posting without pictures in a pictures thread.. interesting choice.
I'm curious to see the end result though.

What type of lift did you use? It looks much more level than mine (I used bigger springs and the front is a bit lower, or at least appears to be).

Finally installed my suspension.
I'm using Tanabe sustec Pro S from a 98-02 Accord. The front is lowered to the max, I removed the helper springs in the front. I want it to be about 1 1/2" lower, any suggestions

The top picture is a before shot

find a fullmark grille and paint the chrome piece black. cleans up the front end a lot. the US grilles aren't that good looking

correct. i have a chrome fullmark grille. has the full surround instead of just the one that wraps around the bottom of the opening. you can always paint it to color match

this is a color matched fullmark grille, it won't come with the big badge though
