Drivability Problem... HELP!!
I have an 03 CRV with AT trans.
The vehicle exibits a shudder at 1400-1500 rpm cruising when it's in 4th gear (OD) at a speed of 58-60 kph 37MPH under light load (flat ground). It actually get to be as rough as a light washboard road. Feels like a torque converter lock up issue.
Any ideas? no codes.

possibly cv axles. i believe the problem is somewhat common on those years. although there are many other possibilities. check all the joints and linkages in the front end. try swapping wheels front to rear. check the trueness of the brake rotors.
sometimes you can grab the axle and feel play in the joint. usually it's not bad enough to feel anything like that though. all it takes is some minor pitting in the bearings or spider to cause some serious vibration
check your mounts as well, as the shuddering will damage them in time. especially the transmission mount

Well....FOUND IT!
It was torque converter shudder on lock up engagement. Pulled a cooler line and put a 3/8" hose on it, put into a measurable bucket. Started CRV. Drained out 3 litres running. topped up 3 litres. Drained that out again (yes with the vehicle running) topped up another 3. Did one more to do the full 7.0 Litres the tranny holds and went for a drive..all good. I don't like to do the honda way of draining 2 Litres, topping up driving and over and over. That way sucks and contaminates all your new fluid. Full flush, no chemicals and HONDA ATF DW-1.
Just thought I would post the results so if anyone runs into this issue they will have a fix.
When I worked on the civilian side as a tech (Subaru, Honda, GM) Thats what I would do if no machine was available. Works like a charm.

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but my E had a washboard vibration occassionaly for only 1-2 seconds at no particular speed or load. like running over the wake up strip on the highway. changed the atf and it went away. 9k later its back. took it to the tranny shop for a diag.
