Default 2005 CRV won't start

Ok, there's a story here but I'll keep it short. Minor wreck damaged the front end, busted radiator. Got it all apart and with a new radiator it starts fine. After a few minutes it dies. Now it'll crank till the batteries dead (I;ve proved it twice) but never starts.

Any ideas as to what else could have gone wrong? Never a moment of problems previously, >200k miles of worry free driving.

If you’ve been involved in a bump check your fuel inertia cut off switch, not sure where it’s located on the Mk2 CRV’s but usually behind the glove box.

Also check for error codes.

U.S. models don't have inertia cut off switches.

U.S. models don't have a physical switch, it is based on the software program in the PCM to cut-off fuel. The PCM uses signals from more than one sensor to determine fuel pump shut-off. The fuel pump is controlled by the PCM via a fuel pump control wire (ground signal) to the PGM-FI Main Relay 2.

Some U.S. Fords have them, not the U.S. CR-V.

OP drives a 2005, but either way I've never heard of this. I've been trying to google this switch. Hopefully I find something.

As I previously stated, U.S. model CR-Vs do not have an inertia cut-off switch like in the UK. Not 2001 or 2005.

The member, Honvol is not in the U.S., the member appears as being in Europe.

I tried a few squirts of starter fluid thinking this would help determine if it's fuel related. Still no luck. Even took out one of the plugs and seem to be getting a spark too.

Tech8,
I bow to your knowledge of USA manufactured CRV’s, but find it very hard to understand why such a vital safety critical device is not fitted.

Different safety methods are used. Read post #5.
