1st gen CRV bug deflector options
Well i have a nasty stone chip on the front edge of my hood that has begun to rust and left about a nickel sized bubble in the front edge. There are also a ton of small nicks on it as well that I would like to conceal. I am going to use some por-15 that I have laying around to fix the rust but I don't want to repaint the whole hood just to fix the front edge so....I am looking for a front bug shield
Does anyone have any pics of their bug deflectors installed and what brand and model they are. So far I am leaning toward AVS or weathertech mainly because the pictures I found through Google show them as the less ugly choice in my opinion. I dont really like the ventshade deflectors but I cant seam to find many other options.
Please help me decide which one to buy

I have the "Perfect Fit" brand deflector; it's the best one I've seen for a 1st-gen. It doesn't install with adhesive tape like most do, instead it screws into the underside of the hood, using pre-existing holes, for a solid fit. Got it here: www.carbras.com

i was also researching into getting a deflector too. from what i found out is that the avs deflector is placed on with 3m tape.
anyone know other brands that are clip-on using pre-existing holes??

PerfectFit is the only one I know of, and it comes to the tune of $90.

I'm actually looking for a good set of those too. The set I used to have was the cheap sticky kind, and I wouldn't recommend them. The good ones are the kind that go into the window channels.

I had the weather-tech window visors on my eg that went into the window channel. The quality and fitment was great. I'll prollly check into that company to see if they have any for the 1st gen crv's.
