Default ZC engines

Hello all, my brother has bought a 1991 hatchback dx that has had a zc dohc vtec swap done to it. Recently he found a puddle with the car and sucked up water through the cold air intake bending 3 of the rods. My question here is, will the rods out of any b-series vtec motor work or do we need to continue our search for zc rods. Any input on this will be greatly appreciated since my research is coming up empty, Thanks.

Your research is coming up empty because there is no such thing as a DOHC ZC VTEC. Show pics of the engine and someone here will confirm what you have.

I didn't think so either because this is not my first go round with hondas. The stamp on the block says zc, but it is definitely dohc and it has the vtec solenoid. I didn't think that it was an actually motor either. Regardless if someone can tell me what I would be looking at for rods that would be great, I would post a picture of it if it wasn't in pieces in my garage.

What you think is a VTEC solenoid is most likely the CPS or Cam Position Sensor.

This.

The DOHC ZC is a non-vtec engine.

Just curious if all of these rods the same(including the dohc zc), thus making them interchangeable from a dohc zc to a D16a6 etc...?

Thanks Again Mr. Jilicrx...
