ZC Engine just sputtered and quit... won't start.
I got in my ZC powered 91 Civic this morning and started it as usual. I was sitting there in the driveway letting it warm up when it sputtered. I turned down the radio and watched the tach, and it did it again. I gave the car a little gas, the rpms went up smoothly and then it sputtered and died. Doesn't even act like it wants to fire now. I just filled up yesterday morning so I know it's got gas in it. Does this sound like a distributor issue?

COuld be many things...
Was it raining when it did that?
How fast is the starter turning?
Did it stall cold or warm?
How was it running before?
When is the last time you had a tune-up?
Could even be bad fuel. Can happen you know.
If it stalled on you, and won't restart then check:
1. look carefully under the hood at all electrical and vacuum connections. Look for cracks, disconnected things, loose connections
2. Check for codes at the ecu, if cel lit up.
3. Look at fust panel under dash and under hood for blown fuse
4. then check for spark at the sparkplug
5. check for fuel pressure at the fuel filter
6. Check battery voltage. Is your battery dead?
7. CHeck ecu
8. Check EGR
Now since it hesitated and stalled, one must look at a blocked cat also and possibly some timing issues (cam shot and that sorta thing). But very unlikely though...
