Default Are you terrorfied to drive your EF in the rain?

I just got back from driving my EF to town and it was raining pretty hard on the way in. I don't know if its just me but my car seems to hydroplane easily and the steering wheel is hard to control when you hit the puddle or waterslides coming down the hills. I never went over 45. Not to mention the problem with the windows fogging up Anyone else hate driving there EF in the rain?? I need to hurry up and fix my pickup truck

My ef used to do hydroplane really easy in the rain, i think it was due to negative camber maybe

Yeah, my CRX fogs up like nobody's business. I don't really have a serious hydroplaning issue though.

I hear 40 and up is typical for hydroplaning though, so I tend to drive like a grandma when there's a **** ton of puddles outside.

I was when I had bald tires; the Azenis actually do ok for me, unless there is a huge puddle of water.

If I'm gentle the CRX is ok in the rain but more than likely i have no traction...it spins through every gear when i romp on it

No i never had any problems when i used it as my DD only there was one spot where I'd hit a puddle and it would always splash up onto the hood and block out the head lights at night and that was on stock suspension...

My car is fine in the rain and it came with some cheap crap generic tires, I only slow down cuz i drop my car for 4 inches but when your on stock 175/70R13 it doesnt look like it.ANd i hate how easy the windows fog out and does any one else have a water leak in there car? I have a 4 door and it smells nasty when i get in after its been sitting in the rain all night, i heard the trunks are the problem but i havent tested it yet.

Running coil overs, 15'" Heliums, w/ toyo proxi T1s. I'm guess my camber in the front causes it to drive like poo in the rain.

maybe something to do with your tires? ive gone over 100 in the rain in my crx. i have full interior, b16, and teins. so idk. maybe its the driver. u gotta know how 2 drive in the rain and not hydroplane...unless its pouring down ofcourse. pouring rain i can do over75 easy w/ puddles.
then again ive been racing go karts for years in the rain, only using rain tires twice ever.

honestly, i think its mostly the tires. get some falken zeix512's....ive had them on my lexus too. awesome tires.....excellent performance in the wet and evn dry, fairly cheaply priced, and really good lifetime on the tread (even with really bad wheel alignment)

neg camber wont do it....because even when i had a ton i wouldnt hydroplane. that is unless u have no contact patch on the road what so ever. but id find that hard to believe any1 would drive with more than 5degree neg. camber. ive done 100+ with over 3 when i lowered my car n didnt have the camber adjsted out.

yea i had nearly bald rt615's andbefore that 215's..............even pourin rain i didnt really hydroplane. lol.

another tip, make sure your tires are properly inflated. even awesome tires wont work if they tire pressure is off significantly. tires lose about a pound of presure a month i believe.

never had a problem driving on the oil slick roads in las vegas.

Now i live in florida and prefer to drive something else when it rains. it rains so hard at times that the wipers seem useless and then the ******* in front of you turns on his hazards and further reduces visability. the roads in the country aren't the best and are full of potholes. Also i have no inner fender plastic or windshield moulding. I could drive it if i had to, but i'd rather not.

My tires are somewhat bald in the back, so that makes me worry a little.

I've got Azenis and as a result, then it rains, I drive my other car.

However, I couldn't really say how bad (or reasonable) it is due to having another option.

Plus, dang, it never rains in L.A.
