Default Wrecked Crx

so i bought a crx about a month and a half ago. I have had nothing but problems out of it. I changed the alternator in it by taking off the cv joint. Driving down the interstate the car started to shudder making a loud sound. I thought the transmission went out because it had been hard to shift every once in awhile. Well the tire fell off went across the interstate. The car fell on the caliper bent the botom molding. Tore off the front quarter panel and the rim was nearly broken in half. The tire hit some black guy with 20in rims. I got a ticket for not having insurance and im probably going to get sued by the guy it hit. The car is at some garage i lost the number to... i really feel like **** now. My parents basically disowned me... im 19. the car was so clean it was painted house of colors blue with silver H on the hood and silver stripe down the side with Finn 17 in rims. I honestly dont know what to do anymore I feel like the worst mechanic ever. The cops that came to take the report got stuck in the median and almost got hit by two cars (like something outa real tv) I feel like i almost killed them. I love cars more than my own girlfriend i love them so much and now i dont feel like i can even ever touch them again. I don't feel like i want to go on living. I think of my destroyed crx.... why do i have to suck at the one thing i love.... life isn't fair.

Learn from your mistakes and get back on that horse! no one died and 20 inch rims aren't all that. get insurance! you probably won't get sued if you agree to pay for the damage to the other guys car.

This is the second thread about somebody being in an accident with no insurance. What the expletive is wrong with you people. ******* up and loosing a tire was mistake. Driving without insurance is just being an *******. If you cant afford the insurance then you cant afford the car.

Good luck!

interesting... this same kinda thing happened to a dude i know, where he was changing tires, balancing them or something. and went down the highway and the tire fell off. he needed basically a new suspension system on that one side, new brakes, fender, tire and bumper. but he was lucky enough that the tire didnt hit another car or person. now hes driving around with a huge crack in his fender.

this kidna **** happens to the best of us, but dont get too down on it. the only way you get smarter is by making mistakes and learning from them. (i know this from me getting ripped off to expletive from a dealership when i got my hatch)

What a stupid thing to say. Having insurance is common sense, if the OP hadnt spent his money on a snazzy paint job and wheels maybe he could have afforded insurance.

Just because you think everyone should be insured doesnt mean you get everything handed to you. People without insuranse need to run into expenisve **** and get sued...maybe then they'd learn that insurance is more important than drinking/spending money on your car/buying cds/dvd's/etc.

dude, as hard as it is to say, look at the bright side, its not easy to look past something like this,

owning an EF has taught me a lesson, never shall i completely rely or trust the engineering of my car, mainly due to the effect of time and age on moving parts in general, life isn't the best when you're a car enthusiast who owns an EF, things will break..things will fail to function...parts will break...thats just the way it is...our cars are old and tired...but they look foward to US to taking care of them as old as they are and we are their saviors, they need us more then we need them.

look, all i'm trying to say is **** happens and problems with our cars is so damn recurring, and i know you probably already know this but life goes on and we learn. But other things in life definately contribute the problems and stress we incur from our cars...but it all pay off some way..some how..

just have faith... everything works out in its own little way's....i assure you this...

The best thing to do when you buy an EF is plan on replacing just about everything. If you aren't willing to waste money rebuilding it from the ground up, don't waste the money buying such an old car.

o yea..maybe i came off as if i wasn't in favor of our ef's...besides the fact that these ****** break a lot... gives me the opportunity to replace it myself...with usually better parts, in turn making me a better mechanic of my car and just being generally aquainted in the automotive field...

So not true. My parents gave me one car my entire life. It was a 1985 Subaru Wagon and they gave me that the day after my mother rolled it and fucked it all up. I paid the insurance on that and every car I have had since. I worked 2 jobs to pay for college then joined the Navy to pay the rest. So if you think that not having insurance it cool it is not. I can see some special cases where people wouldnt have insurance but those are few and very far between.

I do feel sorry for the dude wreching his car but I dont feel sorry for him having to pay his ticket and for the other guys car (wow I bet insurance would have been cheaper!)

It's all good bro, Im the other no-insurance bandit, and I definitely just lost my L's for awhile b/c of it.
But people like the guy above dont understand how it is when your 19 and actually having to do it on your own. You dont got insurance cause you cant afford it. You gotta drive though b/c how the hell else are you gonna get to work to get money for insurance?
See but your really fucked now. If you couldnt afford it before, you SURELY wont be able to afford it for a LONG time now that this ***** happened. This is how the Gov. makes it's money. They got you stuck now. You'll either
A. Struggle to be legal and when this is finally done you'll be in financial ruin.
B. Continue breakin the law til they lock ya up and thats when they get paid.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ever heard of public transportation? Bicycles? Walking? Just because a shitload of people drive in this country, doesn't mean you're just entitled to it. If you are going to drive, you've got to be able to be able to afford the car, maintanance, and insurance. Bottom line. Yeah we all know insurance is a huge f**cking ripoff and that they are total crooks, but its also the only way to keep your *** out of a sling, legally speaking, when the **** hits the fan (like when your wheel falls of and hits some bling bling brotha's ride). Please don't be encouraging this guy to drive without insurance and this "your life is shitty choose A or B" stuff is just ridiculous. The guy sounds hella depressed and you're telling him that his life sucks.

hey now easy on the CRX burn. It's funny though. people think they can just go out and buy a CRX and drive it like it's a regular car. I've had three friends try to jock me and get a rex and ya know what, they can't hang. two ended up hydro plaining in the rain because they try and drive it like a regular car and the other one just wrecked his ****. It takes a special breed to handle a CRX so don't discount the mighty REX because it will take you when you're least expecting it

Take care of the current situation, get some insurance and keep working on cars if you enjoy it. There's not a person on this forum who hasn't jacked up something in their car. If they haven't messed up, they haven't worked on it.

Sux now, but it'll get better.

True these people without insurance shouldn't be driving. My friend got hit by one didn't get ****, and some drunk guy hits my aunts house and shes got to pay for the damage.
