Iam twenty four, drive a 1991 crx hf. I have owned 8 crx in the past all models from Si to B16crx's and stock HF's and DX's. I love them to death. I will always own at least one.

I wonder if a '90 LX counts... In the way the post was made, its more of a new car, or new 'old' car. Mine is being turned into a sleeper with the crx performance goals at heart. I can afford a new Evo, but I hate wasting money, living paycheck to paycheck, as well as having so much locked up in something that will depreciate so rapidly. I'd rather have two civics and pay less each month than most people do for their single car they will end up selling for <1/3 of their initial investment. Even if one is stolen, thats still less money lost.

As long as you spend a bit of money on the parts that matter (suspension, motor, brakes) to make it at least reliable [before making it fast] and start with a good shell, its 10x better. With all the crap on new cars, there's a LOT of junk that can go wrong. On the other hand, a rehab'd EF can be a reliable car.

BTW, last time an age thread poped up, there was some 53+ yr old guy driving a crx or two.

i'm 25 and i was lookin for a crx, couldn't find one and then found an 89 lx sedan, i was happy but it was no crx! i started fixing it up to the way i wanted it and kept going for there. now it has about a 3 inch drop with coil-overs,front and rear upper strut bars, 15 inch gsr wheels(the "fat fives"), or 14 inch del sol five stars for the winter, recently swaped b16 with cai,msd6al,blaster 3 coil,2 1/2 cat back exhaust, short shifter, and full set of autometer gauges with 5inch tach, many more mods to come of course!some pics here soon

I'm 30 and I've been looking for months for a stock Honda CRX HF! I've travled as far as Virginia & Washington DC 3 weeks ago, Sacramento last weekend, and LA this weekend all looking for what I thought were clean HF's but they're all a bunch of POS...so if ANYONE KNOWS someone selling a clean stock HF...PLEASE help me end my search...I want it as a daily driver!

Oh and I currently split my daily driving duties by driving my 350Z, Datsun 510, and Datsun 521 truck....but I've owned a 1994 honda civic and 1997 Prelude (hence my 97SS nick)

On my way to 33 this year and just got another 91 si. There just is no other car like the crx, and because of fed. crash standards, may never be again.

I do understand that buying new cars helps keep the economy healthy, and there are a numbr of new cars that I'd like to drive, but I don't see anything else that I'd want to keep. and trust me, I've tried to upgrade. I've already owned 24 cars and my two favorites are my old skool crx and mustang. some things were just meant to be.

I'm 40 and if I could get them in and out of the garage easily enough then I would alternate daily drivers. I love the WRX but many day prefer to take the CRX out. Both have AC!

Clean enough to eat off of too. I love your car Allan!

I'm 24yrs old, and I drive a 88 Civic Hatchback for a daily beater. I wouldn't have it any other way. It is flat black so if it gets hit, or scratched no biggie. When the CRX is back together, it might get an occasional drive to work, but only because, it has no heat/ac/wipers/defroster and what not. The fear of theft is also abounds, I'm a salesman and I'm in different areas all the time. The way theft has been on the rise, I am kinda reluctent to park in an area that is not a known safe location.

I had an EM1 Civic as a daily driver, and I used my CRX as a track car. I got bored with the EM1, and tired of paying for the insurance and the loan on it - so I sold it and kept the CRX. Now it's my daily driver. 254,000 miles and 37mpg. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Wow I pretty much did the same thing except I sold my EM1, then bought a CRX!

I'm 53. I bought a '84 CRX 1.5 in '87. Totaled that when I hit a horse and bought a turbo Mitsubishi Tredia. Sold that and bought a mint '90 Eagle Talon AWD Turbo 9 years ago, which I still have. Runs the low 13's with AC, cruise control and power everything. But it gets 25 MPG. Bought a decent '87 CRX DX 2 years ago and put a Weber carb on it. Gets 42-43 MPG. Bought a mint '88 CRX HF with a Type R engine off of e-Bay down in LA a month ago. Dyno at Church's at 208 hp. 214 hp with the air ram. Boy that car is fun to drive. Averaged 36 MPG on the way back to Washington.

I'm just not ready to get "old".

26, im on my 2nd crx, only have had crx's, was about to buy a EVO RS, but decide id stick with a CRX as DD and save to buy my own house. $500 plus insurance on a EVO would be a about $8k a year. Thats good money for a down on a house if I keep saving. I hear yuh though. I always think about having a new ride. But you know the advantafes of having a REX. no payments, low insurance and registration, MPG, quick enough then most sport compacts. Id say keep it, look how much complete 1st gen camaros go for. Wait till CRXs reach that status. when ur 40 all ur homies are gonna be like "dam I remember having a CRX, that **** was phat!"

46 - Original owner of 1991 CRX Si. 235K miles and still a blast to drive every day. Pros - No car payments Cons - being pulled over by the CHP for my exhaust and having the officer say "Aren't you a little old to be driving this?" (priceless )

Guess I'll never grow up... heh-heh

Hahaha.. that's awesome

I'm 25 and I daily drive my 90 STD hatch. I went through a number of newer and "nicer" cars right after college because that's what I though people did.

Then I realized that if I didn't have a car payment I could use that money on other things. So I found and built a cheap 90 hatch for a few thousand. Now I daily drive it and love having cheap insurance, no car payment, and getting 35+ MPG. I have AC as well!

My only car payment is my wife's Scion xB which is only $220 a month.

It's nice to not be dumping tons of money into a vehicle every month. My brother drives a new Dodge Ram Hemi... spends $900 a month just on his car payment and insurance! not to mention gas is $90 a week or more. I told him to sell that beast and invest in a rental property with that money. But he'd rather drive around in his huge *** Hemi and act like it makes him more of a man than those girly Civic drivers. lol
