what suspension to get???
Hi
i have a 90 civic hatch. Currently i have stock shocks and some eibach springs.
I'm plan on doing alot of driver schools with my car, so i want a good setup.
What's work best for you all?
Ground control? Skunk2? other cheaper coilovers? what's the best shock for the car?
thanks
franklin

Well sounds like you really dont want to spend a lot of money. So GCand koni yellows would be your best bet. With custome rates of coarse and The Koni's valved to handle those rates

Just my experience says either the Skunk2 or GC sleeves and Koni Shocks are the way to go. The spring rates must be matched to the car. Ground Control is very good at doing this. Ask and they will come up with what you need. Skunk2 supplied my setup and it works on the CRX. The Shocks are Koni "yellow" Sport and are adjustable.
You might want to consider doing the first school or HPDE using the stock components to get a starting point and feel for the car. Then install the upgrade. We use a ride height of 5" from the ground to the jacking points and that seems to work out as a baseline.
Good luck

What type of driver's schools? HPDE? If so, save your money for now. You can install a set of Koni Yellows on your current springs and learn plenty. That always gives you the option of doing the coilovers later. But, if budget is a concern, those schools add up fast, so don't blow your wad on the suspension before you hit the track.
If you're set on doing the coilovers, I'm currently running GC/Eibach and I'm very pleased. I think it's the most flexible setup out there

Re: what suspension to get??? (travis)
I'll be doing the BMW driver schools, NASA and maybe some PCA events.
This will be my first time in my civic at the track, previously with my e30 m3 which is being worked on...hence me starting to track the civic.
My main concern is the car might be a little low, and i have seen other similar cars running wide wheels and tires and i'm afraid if i do so i might rub....so going with a coilover setup, i might be able to raise it up just a little and also stiffen up the system.
I really dont want to spend too much money cause i'm already spending on the beamer, but i'll take your advive and save for the better system...and get the Koni yellows.
Thanks for all the advice.
