Looks almost like the phantom grip unit
http://www.phantomgrip.com/whatis.html
some people swear by it, some people will tell you to stay away
do a search in archived posts for 'phantom grip' you'll see everyone's differing views

It's just a spring loaded stock diff. It'll still explode for no reason when you pop the clutch like a stocker, because it IS a stock differential, just jerry rigged to put more stress on the spider gears. Great. That's ALL they need to last a SHORTER amount of time, huh?
Don't be cheap. Buy a Quaiffe.

Taken from homemadeturbo.com..
Well, I finally got my Twin Trac LSD unit from AzRace last week and I had some time to throw it in my red car (b20 crvtec turbo) yesterday.
The unit itself looked very well machined. The color pics and tech write up directions are incredibly easy for a newbie to install this in there tranny.
This is my tranny 92 YS1 Cable LS tranny
Here is the diff and ring gear
a shot with the unit installed. After that, I put everything all back together and went out for a test drive. My first impressions were similar to when I had the phantom grip. "yes you can feel something is there, but how good is it working?" Well, my traction issues are still there, in 1st and half way through 2nd. But I no longer can do 3rd gear burnouts. Something really nice that I can notice is when doing good turns/corners and mashing on the gas it really keeps glued to the road. My honest opinion? I was hoping for results like with a welded diff or true lsd, but realistically that’s just not going to happen. It defiantly does help, and for the price you cannot argue! If your on a HMT budget I would defiantly suggest one.
And I didn’t forget to put the sticker on the van gets all the sweet stickers, LOL
John Ward doesn’t even know it, but he sponsors my Ford econoline van! hahaha, all the local Everett mullets will be hitting RPI racing for aftermarket components for their raper vans.
awh, all my babies in my driveway
Taking the ZC engine out, it has been sold locally
And I finally installed a good boost gauge in my red car, I always had the small one jammed in the center console laying sideways.. What’s really interesting is that when I went for a test drive I noticed the new gauge only showed I was boosting 9psi, where as the other gauge was showing 11?! ??? Makes me kinda wonder what I was really boosting at on the dyno, hmmm!

like the others said, its still a stock diff so when it reaches its max power limit its going to break. all that thing does is change your diff from an open one to a not-so-open diff.
