What the hell? Gremlins!!!!!!! (long rant)
So as of RIGHT NOW it's official.
I named my car BAD KARMA.
It was in the back of my head for some time now...but after tonight I'm positive.
You all read my D16Z5 disaster when it blew up into a zillion pieces.
Then my electrical problems, and misc misery concerning my B16 swap.
I'm known for my bad luck and overall weirdness in my life.
But you're not gonna believe this one.
Yesterday I installed my new rear suspention. reworked LCA's...ES bushings, nice golden yellow painted koni's (yes bling, but the paint came off) etc etc.
I decided it's been enough for now. Today I washed the car...polished her..waxed her... tomorrow morning I wanted to shoot some nice pics. Morning sun is really nice and reddish. Makes great pics.
Tonight I went for a nice cruise. I solved my electrical problems, and hooked up a new dizzy and stuff. The B finally ran like I wanted her to, and loving every minute of it.
....and then all of a sudden *bonk* and the sound of tools falling from my engine bay onto the ground.
"Did I leave a wrench in there???" was the first thing that crossed my mind. But all of a sudden the car felt sloppy. So the next thing was "OMG! I broke a suspention bolt!!"
I immediately stopped the car, and got out. Opened the hood...wobbled the car. Couldn't find anything wrong.
Then a friend of mine that came along picked up a HUGE ******* bolt.
....an engine mount bolt??? I softly uttered...
I grabbed my flashlight, and checked out the mounts.
Drivers side...OK....pass side...ok....rear mount....
...uhm....rear mount....
OMG! My rear mount bolt is gone!
And isn't that bad boy like 3,5" or something? How the hell did that thing come out? We tightened it with an air wrench for gods sake!
so...BAD KARMA it is.
Either that, or gremlins.

There so cute though, anyways on a serious note always hand tighten stuff that is gonna be hard to get to in the future or really important to tighten by hand.

I actually double checed that bolt with a wrench. That's why I recall what a bitch it is to get to it.
Anyone know of a shortcut to get that thing back in without spending an hour torqueing it down because I only have 1/4" to move my wrench?

That isnt a gremlin, thats a furby. A gremlin is what it turns into after it gets touched by water. Just thought i would add my 2 cents.

there is your answer. you never do the final tightening with an air wrench or impact gun.

The bolt just fell out!
At first glance the mount seems just fine.
This is definately an 8 on my weird-****-o-meter

wtf? That's Gizmo, and he's a Mogwai (or however you spell that, pronounced MOG-WHY), not a Furby.
Furby's are some 90's kids toy

your car is possessed by the spirit of a minor stump demon. Be glad its not a major stump demon. For instance, jeffrey dahlmer was possessed by the spirit of a major stump demon, and the dc snipers.
best get rid of that vehicle. while often not lethal, minor stump demon possession often leads to nervous breakdowns, insomnia, rickets and nervous twitches.
