walbro fuel pump install? & buy a JAZZ FUEL cell and get rid of stocker???
Im building a crx and it has been sitting awhile for over a year. Is it a good idea to clean the gas tank out? and im new to the ef it's a 91 and I have a walbro fuel pump laying around a 255 I have b&m fuel pressure regulator but I was wondering is it a extrenal fuel pump on my crx because it's not like a EG where you can install the pump from inside. does this require me to drop the tank or should I just buy a JAZZ FUEL cell and get rid of stocker??? THX GUYS

Go to Autozone and order a new stock tank. Its like $80 and only takes about 2 days for them to get it. Walbro fuel pump replaces stock perfect . That is a suggested upgrade. You have to unstrap the tank to remove and replace the fuel pump. It cannot be done from in the car.

I personally like the idea of a fuel cell man, saves weight and is safer than a stocker at the track

I think a stock tank is like 11-12 lbs! And that stock tank is made to fit the contour of the car underneath. Also I checked out jegs prices your 10 gal Jaz tank its 200! http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...10221

yup definately won't save that much weight.... maybe only a couple lb's. I know since i'm running a fuel cell in my crx. IMO i wouldn't do it again. The noise of that external pump drives me nuts, i know i can dynomat it to reduce the noise, but just really didn't have time to do it. And ever since my car smells like mad gas. Keep in mind if your going to run a fuel cell, you have to use steel braided lines in order to run at the track (and the feed/return lines as well as the -an fittings are going to cost you a couple hundred $$) I'd only recommend a fuel cell if it's going to be a dragster or something. A 255lph walbro has been proven to hold up high hp. So concluding i'd definately recommend dropping the tank, just use the walbro pump. You'll be happy in the long run
