Surprised the rack end bushing wasn't on this list lol. Hundreds of thousands of miles on a piece of plastic. Fairly common I'd say. Replaced my oem one at 190k on my hatch.

that would be in the top 10 common MECHANICAL tips and tricks, but i havent bothered to go there yet....

and btw, i've been the most vocal about the rack end bushing... im glad ppl are seeing it as important and common as i have been saying.

Makes sense lol. And yeah, I follow a lot of your technical posts. The first time I saw you mention the bushing I immediately figured out exactly what that CLUNK was from the passenger side.

how to fix the seat belt buzzer:unplug it... and anyone have problems with the "buclke up" light under the rear view being on when you have your seatbelt on and there is absolutely nothing in your passenger seat? mine does this from time to time.

This. I've had mine welded and it cracked again! I have a new cable ready to go in but I'd like to know best way to reinforce before I get it reseller :/

I wouldn't normally promote anyone but I have to say that this guy's product fixed my cracked climate control and it looks like it is factory. On ebay his username is "performancelectronics" and he's selling the face plate for only $10.74. He's currently sold 260 of them during this listing (9/19/2013). Very nice man, he makes them himself and they come with a "stickem" backing. When I ordered mine, USPS must have put it in the wrong mailbox (condo "cluster" mailboxes). They call them cluster for a reason. I contacted him and he shipped me a replacement right out for free, no questions asked. I hope this helps someone.
