starter just clicks

Default starter just clicks

just got done with a swap in my 90 ef. tried to start it up but the starter just clicks. it doesnt throw any codes or anything. i put in a different starter and it does the same thing. any suggestions?

you have all ground attached?
thermostat housing valve cover and tranny

thats the thing i forgot to mention. i did a wire tuck and misplaced the t housing ground (i think i cut it off).. where does it lead to at the ecu?

um im pretty sure it does not go to the ecu, it spiders its self threw the harness to ground out certain thihngs. Id be finding that wire ya hacked off and fix and ground it

theres no way of finding it unless i take out the engine cuz everything is hidden but yeah thanks for the info

sounds to me like a dead battery - the ground at the thermostat housing has 4-wires going to a ring connector - it is the ground for the ECU, Main Relay and most of the sensors - the car will not start without it connected

I don't understand how you could hack off a wire while tucking and not immediately place a new lead on it...

how can i find out which one of the wires in the harness is the ground for the t housing? because i cannot find it

Check the stop on the clutch pedal. The Starter/Clutch interlock switch may not be depressed. Just had the same problem. mine just got old and fell apart.
