Sputter at high rpm and no power
Alright guys so I'm having some issues with my 91 civic. I got this car from a guy that said he had an lsv in it and it now have the d15b2. Anyways the car runs and drives but it feels like it has no power at all. It has the same power at 1/4 throttle as WOT. Also once you get up into higher rpms it will start to sputter and backfire, the actual rpm I don't know I don't have a tach. Also I can pull out the two spark plug wires closest to the cam gear and the idle will not budge, but if I pull out the two closest to the dizzy the idles will drop. The wires are firing I can pull them out and see the spark when grounding a spark plug. I have been searching and trying to replace parts to find the problem but nothing has been solved yet.
What has been done so far
Distributor
Timing belt
Fuel filter
Spark plugs
Head gasket
Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance guys!

Then check all of your grounds. And dont just look at them. Disconnect/unbolt, clean (with sandpaper), and reconnect them all. There should be several.

From the battery to the transmission, then from the transmission to the chassis.
There is one on the thermostat housing.
There is one on the valve cover. It is really only to prevent the VC from corroding, but its still a good idea to clean it.
