Default sohc zc and d16a6 is the same...right?

Ok just to verify...alot of people have said they are exactly the same thing. i dont know if this thread belongs here so i'll post it.

if they are the same could i just the d16a6 rebuild kit; meaning bearings and gaskets to rebuild the sohc zc?

***ps motor is obd0 same as d16a6

Yes you could at that time in both motors making the only change was the cam. sohc zc being a tiny bit larger, later zcs had a hair more compression.

You can use that rebuild kit fine

A local partstore or ebay to find some good deals on complete kits. they range from 150$ (very imcomplete) to 500$ (fully complete, 100% new gaskets and what not, new timing belt and pump, stuff like that).

already bought gasket set for 65 bux...looking at bearings for 95? and i dont think i need to replace the oil pump..so still gotta get a timing belt.
