Thermal has a very nice sound, not too loud. But Skunk2 (aka Invidia) is loud as hell. I have a friend with one on his B16 CRX and another with one on his 97 GSR, it can be herd from a mile away (not kidding). If you like your hearing get the Thermal

**** that. SKUNK2 all the way! I had SKUNK2 on my del Sol and I loved it. Nice and deep exhaust note that was ground shaking. My friend had Thermal on his CRX and my SKUNK2 system just sounded way better. Even he admitted it.

get the thermal for your hatch. it looks real good, and the sound is desirable.
I payed 550 (after tax) at honda dealer. You can get them for like 479ish if you look.
I am talking about the 2.5" piping. The 3" is designed for turbo applications.
edit: I want to add that I ran the thermal on my 91 Si and now have the Skunk2 on my 96 Ex. Both sound great, but for the 88-91 I would still take thermal. I love both though.

Well if you dont wanna go like that. Go down to your local Muffler shop and get a custom exhaust.
Right now this is what IM running on my CRX.
Carsound Cat Converter
2" (2.25 preferred) cat back
18" Magnaflow Resonator
Magnaflow Muffler
I can floor it all the way to 7 and it sounds like stock with a deep note to it. It costed me around 400 in total for it. Just my .02 cents

I personally hate the way thermal exhausts look like, never acutally got the chance to hear one....the skunk2 definately sounds and looks nice.

Re: (crexer)
From pics I've seen of the actual Skunk2 system on a CRX, it's not how I thought it would look. It's REALLY slanted, and the tip sticks way out of the bumper cutout. *EDIT: I looked at the thread again, and I realized that this is actually the Invidia exhaust, rather than the Skunk2. Not sure if they're the same design or not, but the Skunk2 is more expensive.
I personally would rather have a custom system like that white EF hatch that has the Skunk2 muffler welded on to custom piping.
There was a huge exhaust thread a while back [archived] that has pics of lots of different exhaust setups. I would suggest searching through that too.
