Si Cluster Tach question?
Ok I have a 90 DX and I swapped in a 90 CRX SI cluster but for some reason the tach is jumping around everwhere. Everything else on the cluster works fine but what is causing this thing to jump and how can I fix it?

usually jumping tach comes from an issue in the distributor, try putting your stock back and see if stock one does it. If your stock one does it and your new one does it get a new distributor. If just the new one does it than its a messed up cluster

The stock cluster doesnt have a tach so it can't jump. I am planning on doing a MPFI swap soon, might that fix my prob?
Also, What B-pipe do I need to run a D16Y8 (4-2-1) exhaust manifold? I have heard that a B-pipe from a 90-91 integra will work?

Ahhh...yeah. If it does'nt do it in another car, then its an issue with your distributor. If it does do it, its the cluster.

I had a jumpy tack but no other problems...usually if the tack is jumpy and the car is running like crap the ignitor is the problem...so I open up my dizzy and was going to swap in a new ignitor but found out that the little clips that slid onto the ignitor were just loose...
Cliff Notes: open up your dizzy and make sure the clips on the ignitor are tight

just checked on my friends SI and the tach worked fine so it must be in the dizzy. I am about to do a MPFI swap so I will check back in after I finish that.
