well this is what my car looks like now after i roller painted my car with rust-o-leum gloss white. i also picked up a nice set of si front seats for 60 bucks (ill post pic of those later to lazy to look for the pic) at pick n pull, then purchased a nice set of rims i got from a junk yard for a 100 bucks with tires they look like stock steelies but the lip looks deeper i believe there 14x5 the brand is called Unique rims has anyone ever heard of these? i really like the way they look oh and those center caps are from my gf moms crv hahah.

just the other day i helped a friend of mine put a jdm d15b that i purchased for $130 in my car Im planning on going mini me staying single cam in the future. Heres some pics i took the day before the swap .I removed the valve cover to see how clean the inside was

then i removed the head to change the head gasket and to see if the engine looked bad but it was aLL GOOD
Here some pics from the day of the swap. out with the old

[IMG]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n301/NastyNoe/ef%20sedan%2089/IMG_6941.jpg[/IMG

in with the new
new engine going in

wasnt able to get the car started that day but the following day i picked up my car and put it on the trailer and ****ed around with it the morning after and got it started the thing that suck is that its a 4 speed tranny wish i would of known that before i swapped it. the guy i purchased it from said it was a five speed. kinda got ripped because i was lied to but then again i paid 130 for the whole engine and trany and harness with mounts its runs good tho. i had to get rid of the old engine because it was a gross smogger and i have to go to the ref. you think they will say something for haveing a 4 speed? when it should be a 5?

you dont have to go to the ref to smog a gross polluter...certain smog stations are able to certify them and all you have to do is call around and ask...!!!

The car looked GREAT before you ****ed it up with the rustoleum. The HX's and silver paint looked fantastic. Poor 4 door.

call around to various smog check test only stations and ask for prices...just make sure to ask if they can certify gross polluters since some aren't allowed to...you can also verify if any station is gross polluter certified by searching www.bar.ca.gov assuming that you live in california...!!!

Yeah thanks it came out alright. It's a step up from spray paint after i painted it. Wet sanded it and buffed it with this Fin cut polish my neighbor recommended and I was kinda rushed after the 2nd day of painting it do to weather and my Gfs parents.

Went to the junk yard today to get some stock corner lights and a passenger side bump light. Almost didn't find anything at the yard. I was looking for a set of fog light off a prelude all ones I did find were broken. Oh and about the 4 speed tranny it's kinda cool.

that swap was a waste of time and money imo.
i agree with the color change being a poor choice too, blade silver is a great color.
sorry for the opinions, but its the internet.

oh yeah, i wouldnt reccommend using those lug nuts with those steelies either, very dangerous.

lugs are made for aftermarket wheels, so they wont seat properly.
use oem honda lugs.

Actually Blade Silver would be my guess too. They made a lot of DX Sedans and CRX's in that color in 89, but dont see to many anymore. Hard to tell the color from those shots though.

I like the name of this car Good luck on the build!

Actually that is false information. MOST aftermarket "tuner" lug nuts are conical ended whereas stock honda wheels are ball seated. They do however have after market lug nuts with ball ended seats.
