Ummm I think the whole seat thing is shady. I just put 89 Si seats (Front and Back) into my 90 Dx and had no fiting issues what so ever. Everything bolted right up I think it all depends on what type it is. This particular 89 had the seat belts on the door. Maybe this was a late model 89 and my car was an early model 90? Who knows, its really all trial and error.

Disregard that last post by me, turns out that Si I got thoes seats from was a '91. Turns out the previous owner swaped VIN numbers so it appeared to be an '89. However, when we stripped it out, the ECU was dated 1991. Sorry for the confusion.

I put my 91 CRX Si Seats into my 88 this summer, not a perfect fit, (they both lean a little bit but almost unnoticeable to the naked eye) and all I had to do is a bit of bending and use one less bolt.

Bump; anybody ever put 94-97 Integra seats into a 90 hb? I'm pretty sure the rails are different, thus not allowing all the floor bolts to line up; would I be able to swap pans?

anyone know how high those seats fit? because im pretty tall, and i have a pair of 2000 si seats laying around. i wanted to put them in because my hatchs seats are ripped to hell, but i was worried about how high it would position me. i have del sol seats in my em1, and i LOVE the extra headroom

So do you know any site or places that sells 91 Civic bracket seats? I've been looking for a while now and haven't found one yet.

Do you get my drift....... CRX and Civic seats ARE NOT interchangable. For example: 90 Civic HB seats WONT fit into a 90 CRX and vice verse. Seats are one of those year specific things. And once again, ANY other seats will have to be modified.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

thats not true cuz i have 91 crx seats in my 90 dx hatch and they fit

I have personally installed 90-91 H/B seats into y old 89 H/B with no modifications, seatpan swap or rail swap. But it might be different with canadian models.

I know it fits. Bolts right on.
But for the bracket, will 92+ Civics or Crx seat bracket fit 91 Civic?

Default I hate 89 seats!

I have an 89 civic Si hatch (not CRX), and my seats aside from a complete reupholster are fubar.

I have some 93 civic hatch seats, i though I would try to swap the pans, but the way the seatbacks attach to the seat pans are completely different. Not even close to being similiar. On the 89 seats (SI at least) the reclining mechanisms are attached on the inboard side of the seatback. The the other pivot point is not on the outside edge of the seat (like eg's), it is set a few inches inboard of the pan. Plus on the EG seats the reclining mechanism is on the DOOR side of the seat.

I have also yet to find any aftermarket solution for racing/ricing seats that applies to the 89 civic hatch.

So damn frustrating!

Now my question is a question that hasnt been answered. I want to use Memory fab seats, F1 spec seat etc etc..But I cant seem to find what my bracket options are. People say custom this and custom that but no one posts pics. So if anyone makes brackets(preferably sidemounts) please post in this thread.

I've been searching for the answer to this one....wil 90-91 sedan front seats fit into a 90-91 hatch??....would I have to swap the rails or can this be done without any modification?? I found a clean set of front seats from a 91 sedan that I want. They have the automatic seat belts on them, which I can pull off, but I'm hesitant because don't know for sure if the rails will line up with the holes in my hatch.

Wow, so many "will this go into this?" Questions.

Answer: almost any honda/acura seat can be transferred via pan fkn swap. Its so ez. I've done eks in my wifes crx, teg gsrs in my friends crx, s2ks in my other friends crx and eg seat in my sisters crx. Everything works... Period. Pan swap and tighten the seats with zip ties. Done!!!!

So many retarded people here. Thank you OP for yet again telling everyone this but in a week everyone will have forgotten.

Chill dude!

Until I see pics of your mentioned pan swaps, I have to call b/s.

Sure you can try to swap the pans, but the end results will probably look like crap with material overhanging and zip ties as interior decoration. Let's just pray that the zip ties will hold in a crash after months of heat treament in the car.

If u want to see pictures just click on any of the "Honda and Acura Appearance/Cosmetic Forums" and they r full of pictures of cars with seats from a different car. Most of the seats in those pictures are the result of seat pan swaps.

lmfao? you obviously have never done a pan swap or at least corectly.

ill get the pics of my wifes ek seats in her crx tonight if u want but i doubt it will change your mind. you still be stubborn as hell im sure.

the overhanging material isnt even visible, u tighten the seat material as much as u can so that the seat fits perfect. it isnt difficult.
