ok well, i dont know how to check but it has a Vtec controller and ecu... how can i check???? <------------ im an idiot for not asking the guy who sold it to me...... thanx guys...... also i was wonderin where you got your JDM 4-1 headers and for how much????

Check the Best Buy forum for the JDM header. to check for readline. take it all the way up till you hit it. UNLESS its chipped.
EDIT: or just check on your ecu. it should say PWO or PR3

its a pwo and the guy said it will go to 8000, at least thats where i can take it .... he also says that with some CTR cams i can take it to 8400 easily.... does this sound correct

CTR camshafts and the 00-01 ITR camshafts share the same profiles. Now for the peak Hp/torque of those camshafts depends on a lot of variables. Your main concern should be is your bottom end and valvetrain going to handle the rpm/shockload. Your ecu will have a fuel cuttoff limit on rpm. So if you "chip it" then you have a higher rpm limit. Now for the camshafts you can vary the power they make by adjusting the timming with ajustable cam sprockets. That is suggested on a "dyno" preferably near and in conditions the vehicle will run in. I could go on and on, but for now that's it.
