just to make sure that i have everything right. the parts list is:
1.) 90-91 Civic Ex steering knuckle assembly
2.)90-91Civic Ex or 90-93 Integra Calipers and Rotors

do you really need the larger master cylinder/booster?
is it 88-91 Civic Ex or just 90-91 Ex parts that can be used?
since the hub size is the same as the Si, will this conversion work for a B16a swap?

those are the only questions that i have left <U>AFTER</U> searching!

Only 90-91 EX have the larger brakes in the front. I have them on my CRX and the camber is horrid. You'll need one of those fancy camber kits to keep things lined up.

Also, you'll prolly want a 90-93(15/16") 'teg or a 90-91 Si/EX master clyinder(7/8"). They aren't required though, it helps with braking power.

Your camber is trashed? Are you sure you didn't get Integra DA knuckles? The EX knuckles are geometricly IDENTICAL to the Si, DX, LX knuckles. The only differece is the rotor and caliper. NOBODY I know has ever had camber issues with EX knuckles.

Oh - fastCRXSi, YES these knuckles have the same hub and bearing as the Si and will work with a B16A swap.

Must have been the goddamn *** monkeys at the junkyard. Last time I let someone pull the parts for me..... I got a shiet load of posivtive camber, lowering doesn't even help. I eat tires like no tomorrow.

I have 90 ex knuckles on the wagon, and I have 93 teg knucles laying around my shop. i've measured everything on them, and the only difference I've found is the lower balljoint is forward about a quarter inch, which would only affect caster, not camber. your camber is probably screwed due to lowering the car maybe?

The teg knuckles are also about a 1/2" taller from lower balljoint to upper as well, thus causing the positive camber.

Ya, you don't need the master cylinder to make the setup work properly, it will only improve the brake feel, the brakes themselves are a great upgrade. The proprtioning valve is fairly important though, if you have the full disc conversion. You can pull it out of either the EX or an integra. You will have to get an alignment after installing the knuckles because where the tie rod goes on is a little different. It's just a basic toe adjustment, no major camber issues.

Nope. I tried lowering the car to HELP the camber. I'm supposedly using 90-91 EX knuckles with my stock CRX upper A-arms. I've got some horrid positive camber, like this " \ / " . Anyone know what may be wrong?

I'm thinking I may need a different set up upper A-arms. From the geometry, i've figured that a slightly shorter upper A-arm would correct the camber the way I need it. I've looked at the interga upper A-arms and they aren't shorter, but I think that the ball joint is set farther back in the arm than the stock civics. This serve to accomplish the same thing as a shorter A-arm would.

The 90-91 EX also uses a 15/16 master cylinder. The Si is 7/8 and all others are 13/16.

i am really considering upgradingmost of my braking system, and im curious if i buy the 90-91 EX will it bolt up or do i need a new vacum thingie or will i ned to bend the lines at all???

the only problem i had with mine was the brake hose didnt bolt on due to me using the Ex hoses , but a zip tie saved the day

Mine was plug and play. I didn't have to bend any lines.

You got teg knuckles, no question about it! I bought my daily driver and it came riced out with a set of teg knuckles on it, and it looked the same. JDM SiR or 90-1 civic EX are the only knuckles that will work properly. Look at your knuckles vs. the stock ones. Do they look considerably thicker and beefier? A little taller if you measure top to bottom? Those are the key signs of teg knuckles.
